Please see the calendar changes below!! The last day of school will now be Wednesday, May 20th!

It's all blue skies in Blue Rapids

It was a good week at Blue Rapids Elementary. State testing is going very well. ELA testing has been completed in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades, and the 5th‑grade science exam and 6th‑grade math test are also finished. The only assessments left are 6th‑grade ELA and math for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. As we close out the year we have several exciting activities coming up! Ag Day is on April 17th for the 4th grade, Play Day is scheduled for May 8, and each class has field trips planned, along with the 6th‑grade promotion. It’s hard to believe we’re already in mid‑April — blink once and the school year will be over.

Here are some upcoming dates to remember:

  • Board of Education Meeting - April 20th
  • Marshall County Health Department Shot Clinic for Students - April 22nd
  • Last Day for Colts Round Up - April 30th

As always, thank you for the privilege and blessing that it is to work with your children. My door is always open if you have any concerns or you need to visit.

-Mr. Staples
