Lunch Reflection at Lineville
To provide a consistent, restorative, and structured intervention for behavior at Lineville, we utilize Lunch Reflection. The process of Lunch Reflection is designed to provide a structured and consistent approach to support behavior while working with the student, staff, and families to build an understanding of behavior choices. Staff may assign a lunch reflection to a student when a student demonstrates behavior that is unsafe, disruptive to the learning of others, or consistently interfering with the flow and success of the student’s daily academic progress.
Students will bring their lunch to a designated location supervised by Mrs. Destache or other student services staff. During this time students will eat, complete a personal reflection, read or work on school work, and will discuss ways to make things better moving forward. Students will be in Lunch Reflection for both lunch and recess.
Families, you will be notified via email from our staff that your student served a lunch reflection and for what reason. If you would like more information about your child’s individual reflection, feel free to email Leigh Destache, leigdest@hssdschools.org or call 920-662-7823 .
We appreciate your partnership in this new process and look forward to working with students, families, and our staff to make this a very successful and fun school year for everyone.
Attention 5th and 6th Grade Parents/Guardians:
Your student will have the opportunity to increase their awareness of their social and emotional behaviors through completing a social, emotional, academic and behavior screener. The screener, mySAEBRS, will ask students a total of 21 questions and will be completed in under 10 minutes. This screener will allow school staff to identify targeted areas for growth focusing on students' ability to regulate their emotions, develop meaningful relationships, and make positive decisions.
If you would like to opt your child out of the screening process please click on THIS LINK and complete the Opt-Out form by September 30th, 2026.
Join us for the first PTO meeting of the year at Lineville Intermediate School on September 21st at 6 PM. Coming to PTO meetings will help you stay connected to what is going on at school with no strings attached. We hope to see you there!
DRESS CODE AND PHONE POLICIES
Dress Code Reminder
As a reminder, please ensure that your child is dressed in clothing appropriate for a school setting. Clothing should be comfortable yet modest, suitable for various activities throughout the day.
Cell Phone Policy
All student cellphones and personal devices (including home iPads) must be stored in lockers and turned off during the school day (7:30am–2:40pm). If you need to get in touch with your child during the school day, you may call the school office or send your child an email. Students will have the opportunity to check messages as appropriate. This ensures that important communication can still happen without disrupting the learning environment. Our complete cell phone policy is linked here.
Use of approved fidget rules:
Small/discrete: Item should be smaller than your hand.
Out of Sight: The tool must be kept in the lap or under the desk.
Silent Operation: Tools should not make excessive or extra noise (pops, clicks, squeaks).
Non-Shareable: Tools are not to be shared, lent or traded with other students.
Tools not Toys: If an item becomes a distraction to the learning environment or pulls attention away from the constructor, it will be taken.
What is the Patriot's Pen Program?
Conducted nationwide, this VFW-sponsored youth essay competition gives students an opportunity to write essays expressing their views on an annual patriotic theme. For more information, please click on the link below! The deadline to enter is Oct. 31, 2026!
E-BIKE AND E-SCOOTER SAFETY REMINDERS
E-bikes and e-scooters have become increasingly popular. To ensure the safety of our students, especially during drop-off and pick-up times on school property, we encourage students to walk their e-bikes and e-scooters.
As the district prioritizes safety of our students, we have developed a policy to maintain safe campuses. Of note, Administrative Policy 5514 states:
"The operator of a personal transportation device must observe all safety laws and rules, display courtesy and consideration toward others, and must abide by this policy as well as all laws and ordinances regarding the operation of the relevant device."
"Operating or bringing a personal transportation device on District property is a privilege and not a right. An administrator may temporarily or permanently revoke such privilege to the extent that a personal transportation device is operated in a negligent, reckless, or other manner that creates a risk of harm to the operator or others, or in a fashion that otherwise fails to comply with safety rules, laws, or ordinances."
"Upon the request of an administrator, the operator of an electronic powered transportation device will dismount the device and walk the device to the appropriate storage area."

“Anything that’s human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable. When we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary. The people we trust with that important talk can help us know that we are not alone.”
