As we get closer to the end of the school year, our fourth grade students will be taking part in a variety of fun and meaningful activities to celebrate the end of their elementary school journey 🎓. They’ve worked incredibly hard all year preparing for the transition to middle school, and while they finalize their academics 📚, we’re making time to squeeze in some well-deserved fun! 🎉

Here’s a look at some of the exciting events coming up:

• May 2nd: Ag Day at the High School 🚜 – A hands-on experience exploring agriculture and learning from older students.

• May 13th: Our annual field trip to Harrisburg 🏛️, where students will have the opportunity to learn more about our state’s history and government.

• May 16th: A trip to BCTC 🔧🔬 to explore career and technical education opportunities.

• May 19th: Our 4th Grade Chorus and Band Concert 🎶 – a chance for students to showcase all the hard work they’ve put into their musical talents this year.

• May 21st: A walk to South Mountain Park 🌳 for the 4th Grade Picnic 🧺 – a fun and relaxing way to celebrate their time at CWE with classmates and staff.

• May 29th: A visit to the Conrad Weiser Homestead 🏠 – a meaningful trip to explore our local history and namesake.

We’re proud of all they’ve accomplished and look forward to ending the year on a high note with these special moments! 💙

Mrs. Gheer has been working hard all year helping our students create beautiful works of art, and her dedication truly shines through. She has once again organized an amazing Art Show that will be proudly displayed in the gymnasium on May 3rd from 9:00–11:00 AM. We invite you to stop by and celebrate the incredible creativity of the young artists in your family!

While you're here, be sure to check out two other exciting events happening at the same time: the PTO will be hosting Chalk Fest in front of the school, where students can add their own splash of color to the day, and there will be a Scholastic BOGO Book Fair in the lobby—buy one, get one free!

The SV Special Track and Field Invitational is a celebration of perseverance, teamwork, and inclusion—bringing together incredible student-athletes from across the region for a day of competition, spirit, and community. Good luck to all of this year’s participants—we’re cheering you on every step of the way!

On May 8th Mrs. Sweigart, Mr. Morris and Mrs. James will be heading to Dry Rd Farm with their classes.

On May 9th Mrs. Fick and Mrs. McDermott will be taking their classes.

If you have already completed the registration process for your child to begin Kindergarten, you should have received a Sign-Up Genius link for our upcoming Kindergarten Orientation. Don’t forget to book a time for orientation using the Sign-Up Genius!

Kindergarten Orientation will take place on Thursday, May 23rd, between 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM at Conrad Weiser East Elementary.

Happy Memorial Day

As part of our ongoing commitment to health and wellness, our students will once again be taking part in our annual Healthy Walk to Trinity Church and back. This event encourages physical activity, fresh air, and a sense of community.

Please make sure your child comes to school that day wearing comfortable walking shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather, as we’ll be outdoors for an extended period of time. We’re looking forward to a fun and active day together!
