Pelicans, PTO. and SIC

Tuesday is our monthly Pelicans day. Cups are $5 as always and will be presold. No money to be dropped off, as we don't want to interupt instruction by calling the room and having students leave the classroom. Thank you.

Tomorrow is the final Monday of the month, which is typically day we have PTO and Schoool Improvement Council meet. That said we may delay PTO for at least a week to ensure we are ready with financial reports. Also we will have SIC at a later date, as the focus will be school report card info and looking ahead at how we can continue to move in a positive direction. We will send a message regarding PTO date and time by tomorrow morning. Thank you to those who are supporting these efforts, as we truly need and appreciate your involvement.

CMS Skate Night Info

Thank you to Mrs. Spolski and our Student Council for organizing our first ever CMS Skate Night on this Thursday 10/29. Expectations are listed below and details for the event in the flyer below. Thank you in advance for those who can come support.

Halloween Skate Night Costume Expectaitons

  • No gruesome, excessively gory, overly scary, or revealing costumes.

  • No masks or face coverings that prevent staff from identifying students.

  • Costumes must be safe to skate in. Avoid dragging fabric, long capes, or loose accessories that could get caught in skate wheels or cause a fall.

  • No real or fake weapons.

CMS Total Request Live Continues Tomorrow

We first want to thank our families who overwhelming are utilzing the car-rider line respectfully and modeling for our students how to be "kind in the car rider line." We do know that wait at times can be a little boring, so to brighten the morning a couple of days a week we are going to start our own version of "Total Request Live" for our parents to enjoy a little nostalgia, while we also introduce our students to some good tunes.

The way it will work is when families are entering the line they can have a passenger text Mr. Faulkenberry's google number (803)-281-2786 to request a song. The requirements are that the song must be school appropriate and upbeat, so we can have a little fun to start the day. Music from the 90s and early 2000's is suggested. Depending on the number of request the song will be played for at least a minute.

To not have to much of a good thing we will offer this opportunity on Mondays and Fridays or whatever day starts or ends our weeks. We look forward to our families enjoying some good tunes during your wait.
