Superintendent Update: August 2025

Good morning Lebanon School District Community,
We’re just two weeks away from the start of the 2025–2026 school year! I hope you’ve had time to rest and recharge this summer, because things are buzzing behind the scenes across our schools. Preparations for a successful 2025-2026 school year are in full swing.
Thanks to our hard-working facilities and maintenance teams, classrooms have been painted, floors waxed, and every room in every school building has undergone deep cleaning. This summer, our teachers and staff have been students too—gathering new ideas, refining their craft, and shaping classrooms where the moments that matter will unfold
As our buildings shine with fresh floors and polished hallways, we’re also getting ready for the joyful traditions that signal a new school year. Whether it’s the popsicles on the LMS playground, an ice cream social at HSS, a Kindergarten kickoff at Mount Lebanon, or the excitement of the first-day photos before the school bus arrives, these moments matter—and they’re right around the corner.
The first day of school for Kindergarten through 12th grade is Wednesday, August 27. Pre-K starts on Tuesday, September 2.
Whether you’re in the Class of 2038, gearing up for your very first day, or in the Class of 2026, savoring your last first day, we can’t wait to welcome you. More back-to-school information—including bus schedules—will be posted on our website and emailed early next week. Until then, enjoy these final days of summer.
In partnership,
Amy Allen
Superintendent
STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Tech Wrangler Extraordinaire
Growing, Leading, and Inspiring
A huge shoutout to Stephanie LaHaye, paraeducator at LHS and summer-school admin, for going above and beyond this summer by single-handedly tracking down and retrieving more than 90 pieces of computer equipment from students at the high school, including laptops, chargers, and accessories. This not only saved the district and families money in replacement costs but also gave our tech team a major head start in preparing devices for the upcoming school year. Thank you, Stephanie! Because of your dedication, students and staff will be ready to hit the ground running! If you or your student still has a laptop or other school-issued device or accessory, it's not too late to return it to your student's school.

STUDENT SHOUTOUT: Cadet in Command: Rising 9th Grader Leads the Way
Celebrating critical & creative thinkers, local and global citizens, and demonstrated empathy & resilience
Congratulations to rising ninth grader, Molloy Albee-DeRoehn, who completed the New Hampshire Wing Civil Air Patrol Summer Encampment this summer. He spent a week at Fort Devens with Civil Air Patrol cadets from New England and several other states. Molloy and his fellow cadets had classes in leadership, first aid, and aerospace. His encampment experience also showed the importance of team building and problem-solving skills.
Molloy’s flight group, Echo Flight, earned Honor Flight twice and also earned Honor Flight of the Encampment. Molloy loved his experience and is looking forward to being able to return next summer as a member of the cadet staff and passing on the skills he learned to newer cadets. Good job, Molloy!
Lebanon School District Strategic Plan: 2025-2028
On June 11, the Lebanon School Board approved our district's 3-year strategic plan. Read about our school district's vision in detail here. The work of bringing our Strategic Plan to life is just beginning. Over the coming months, you and your students will start to see its messages and priorities reflected throughout our schools and community—from classroom practices to family communications and community partnerships. This is a shared effort, and we’re excited to take these first steps together
