Important Procedures Important Procedures

Reminder:

Some students have already forgotten our Bulldog Expectations (P.A.W.S.). Please remind your student to follow the school rules. These are posted throughout the school in prominent locations in the event they try to tell you, parent/guardian, they are not sure of what those expectations might be.

School Start Time:

School begins everyday at 7:25 am. If you are entering our car line or your child is walking in at this time, they are considered late. We no longer have a rotating schedule. This means, when your child is late, s/he is missing the same class period each day. This could significantly impact his/her grade. Please work to get your student to school on time each day.

Car Loop Reminder:

As a friendly reminder, when entering the car loop, please follow the established traffic pattern for the entire loop. Upon entering, continue to the right and follow the loop all the way down, around, and back up as you wait for your student to be released.

For the safety of our students, staff, and families, please do not attempt to bypass the line or drive against the flow of traffic. We have had a few close calls recently due to drivers trying to avoid the pickup line.

Important Reminder About Perfumes and Body Sprays

Students may bring personal hygiene products to school; however, perfume, cologne, body spray, and other spray products should not be used in classrooms, hallways, buses, or other indoor areas. These products can cause allergic reactions, trigger asthma, and make it difficult for some students and staff to breathe comfortably. This is a very important health and safety concern. This week alone, two students experienced allergic reactions, and one situation was serious enough that paramedics responded to our campus. To help keep everyone safe and healthy, please make sure that all perfumes, colognes, body sprays, and similar products remain in backpacks and are not sprayed at school. Due to the number of staff and student emergencies resulting from the misuse of these products, any student found spraying them on campus will be subject to disciplinary action.

Cellphones:

Grades Pre-K through 8 – Students who bring WCDs to school must ensure that they remain on silent mode and completely out of view for the entire school day. These expectations also apply to extracurricular and co-curricular activities that occur before or after the school day

(pg. 37 in the 26-27 Student Code of Conduct).

We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and healthy learning environment for everyone.

Parents please speak with your student(s) about using kind words toward one another in person and via social media/text. A popular music artist, Drake, tells teens to hear people out instead of immediately arguing, be mindful of your words so you don't hurt others, and be authentic in your relationships. Remember students, RESPECT is a pillar in our BULLDOG Legacy of Excellence! Let's put respect into practice!!
