💜 Student ID & Lanyard Reminder 💜
Charger Families,
As part of Lamar CISD and Roberts Middle School's campus safety expectations, all students are required to wear their school-issued student ID and lanyard every day. Student IDs are an important part of keeping our campus safe and ensuring students are easily identifiable throughout the school day.
We ask for your help in making sure your Charger has their ID and lanyard visible and ready to wear before leaving home each morning.
Please remember that Roberts has a progressive consequence system for students who repeatedly arrive without their IDs:
1st–3rd Occurrence: Minor offense
4th Occurrence: Skyward referral and parent phone call
5th Occurrence: Skyward referral and 1 day of lunch detention
6th Occurrence: Skyward referral and 2 days of lunch detention
7th Occurrence: Skyward referral and 1 day of ISS
8th+ Occurrence: Skyward referral, 2 days of ISS, and parent conference
A Few Important Reminders:
ID infractions reset every six weeks.
Students without their ID or green sticker will not be permitted to purchase Fun Food Friday snacks.
Wearing an ID daily is a simple but important responsibility that supports campus safety.
Thank you for partnering with us to reinforce this expectation at home! A quick ID check before heading out the door each morning makes a big difference.

EXTRA INFO TO KNOW/REPEATED INFO
Bell Schedule and Tardy Policy
Tardies
Students have 4 minutes to get between classes. Tardies will begin counting on Week #3. Tardies will start over each 6 weeks. Students with 4 or less tardies each 6 weeks will get to participate in 1/2 Day Club Days!
Student IDs
It is LCISD and Roberts policy that students wear their IDs daily.
Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
Car Riders
We work closely with LCISD and Fulshear Police to maintain a safe and efficient car rider process. The first few weeks typically bring heavier traffic and more car riders, so dismissal may take a little longer. Please be patient—I promise it gets better! Following the designated traffic pattern, carpooling, or utilizing district transportation can also help reduce congestion.
Every student receives a numbered car rider tag, even if they do not regularly ride home by car. Please keep this tag in case you need it during the year and display it in your front window when using the car rider line. If you do not have a tag on the first day, don’t worry—we have a plan!
Walkers
Roberts staff will meet walkers near the library and walk them together down Charger Way. Students will be released after passing the Leaman driveway and will continue independently from that point. Walkers will not be released to cars parked along Charger Way and staff do not wait for kids to be picked up by an adult.
Bus Riders
For more information, please visit https://www.lcisd.org/transportation. Please report transportation concerns to the Transportation Department at (832) 223- 0551.
RAINY DAY DISMISSAL PROCEDURES
Due to the unpredictable nature of our weather, we make the decision to implement rainy-day dismissal by 4:00pm. Lightning and moderate to heavy rain automatically trigger a rainy-day dismissal. Car riders and bus riders will be dismissed as usual. NO WALKERS WILL BE ALLOWED. Notification: If a rainy-day dismissal is called, we will send through ParentSquare before dismissal around 4:00pm. Car Line Delays: Wet weather often leads to longer car lines, so we appreciate your patience as we work to load our Chargers.
LCISD School Calendar and Hours
Roberts Middle School doors will open at 8:35 a.m. daily and students will go to their first period class, cafeteria for breakfast, or tutorials upon arrival. Please do not drop off your child prior to 8:35 a.m. and leave them unattended in front of Roberts Middle School. ***We will not have staff monitoring any student dropped off before 8:35am.
New Update on Personal Communication Devices
During the 89th Texas Legislative Session, House Bill 1481 was passed, prohibiting students from using personal communication devices during the school day and on school property. This change includes cell phones, smartwatches, tablets, radios, and similar devices. The law applies to all Texas public and open-enrollment charter schools, including Lamar CISD. Exceptions are made for students with documented medical needs or special education accommodations. Students will be allowed to turn their phones back on at 4:30 to communicate with parents about transportation home.

How it works
Powered by KEV Group, SchoolCash Online is the industry leader in the safe and secure management of school fees. This system puts all of the school-related fees for your student online for purchase. Schools post their items and activities and assign the relevant fees to your student, so you can then make purchases online using your credit card.
