CORNUCOPIA OF THANKS! CORNUCOPIA OF THANKS!

Please join us for our next all school bulletin board! Each student will be bringing home a fruit or vegetable. They could write anything they are thankful for on it, and use markers, crayons, paints, anything they'd like to decorate it. Once they are finished please have your student return it to the office, and we'll get it hung up in our CORNUCOPIA! We loved our full Tremont family bulletin board of summer pics, and thought we'd keep the same theme of doing a family project together. If you need more fruits or veggies, there will be copies in the office for anyone to pick up. Looking forward to seeing all the great designs and thankful thoughts! We truly appreciate our families! Thank you!

Arrival and Dismissal Reminders Arrival and Dismissal Reminders

A few quick reminders to help keep our car rider line safe and moving efficiently:

  • Pull all the way forward in the car rider line. Please don’t stop early to let your child in or out.

  • Please remain in your vehicle. If your child needs assistance getting out of the car, please park in the parking lot and walk with your child across the raised crosswalk area.

  • If your car stops along the pool sidewalk, please have your child exit there. There is no need to wait until you reach the front of the line.

  • Please follow the directions of our staff members on duty. They are working hard to keep traffic moving and, most importantly, keep everyone safe.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation during these very busy parts of our school day. When everyone follows the same procedures, arrival and dismissal are safer and smoother for everyone!

Artist Visit-November 9 Artist Visit-November 9

We are excited to welcome New York City Pop Artist and Author Michael Albert to Tremont on November 9th.

Albert's use of recycled cereal boxes and other consumer packaging is bold, colorful and sustainable, creating art that he has named "Cerealism".

Students will hear Mr. Albert speak, and then work during their art class to create their own "pop art". Each class will be collaborating with the artist on a whole school 75th Anniversary art piece, "75 words for 75 years of Tremont".

To prepare, please encourage your students to bring in their empty packaging from cereal boxes and the like (collapsed) and put them in the donation boxes located outside of Mrs. Masters' art room and in the main lobby of our school.

A very big THANK YOU to the Upper Arlington Education Foundation for making this visit possible!

If you would like to explore more about the artist and his work, please visit his website:

Family Engagement Update Family Engagement Update

This week we will be sharing and discussing our building-level results from the Engaged Learner Competencies and Well-Being survey. One of our areas of strength here at Tremont

is SUPPORTIVE RELATIONSHIP. This means that many of our students reported that they have a positive feeling about the their supportive relationships fostering engagement and well-being

Also, based on student feedback, one of our areas that we need to work on as a team is EMOTIONAL REGULATION. This topic involves exploring how emotional regulations supports student engagement and overall well-being. We will be having classroom conversations to learn more about both topics and how we can support students, teachers, and each other to either maintain or improve our students’ experiences.

We encourage you to participate in discussions at home using the same questions from the Engaged Learner Competencies and Well-Being survey. You will find these topics, connections to the Profile of an Engaged Learner, and individual question items for K-2, 3-5, and 6-12 at this link: Survey Topic & Description - Connection to Engaged Learner - Survey Items. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact (administrator or school counselor) or Cathy Ely, Director of Well-Being, Prevention and Intervention at cely@uaschools.org.

Do you have questions about Issue 7?

As we approach Election Day, UA Schools wants to ensure our community has access to clear, factual information about Issue 7, the combined operating levy and bond issue on the November ballot. The school district’s role in this election is to share the facts, answer questions and help residents understand what is being proposed.

To help with that, we have put together a video version of the Issue 7 presentation that we have been sharing out in the community. The video provides an overview of the proposed issue and offers answers to common questions, with bookmarks to help you navigate directly to the topics most relevant to you.

To find additional factual information and answers to frequently asked questions, please visit the district website, www.uaschools.org/issue7.
