Trail Blazer Bulletin May 6-10

Dear Trail Blazer Community
Happy Monday,
I hope that you all had a great weekend. Here on the Trail, we are gearing up for the end of the year. Please encourage your students to be on their best behaviors, to seek out academic interventions if needed, and finish the year strong.
Please take a moment to send a teacher a note of appreciation this week. We sure do appreciate all they do for our students.
Modified Schedule for Friday May 17th
On the last day of school, Friday May 17th (B Day), we will run all 4 periods and release all students at 1:00pm. Students scheduled for 1B or 2B at the CTE will report to the cafeteria for class.
1B - 9:00 - 9:55am
2B - 10:00 - 10:55am
3B - 11:00 - 11:55am
4B - 12:00 - 1:00pm
AP Students,
Exams are right around the corner! Please review the exam schedule above for the date and time of your AP exams.
Morning testers must arrive by 7:25am; transportation will NOT be provided, and students who arrive late will NOT be allowed to test.
Afternoon testers must bring lunch to eat at 11:15, as the cafeteria lines will NOT be open at that time.
If you have an afternoon exam and 2nd period at CTEC on the same day, contact Ms. Phillips immediately.
If you are taking AP Seminar and/or AP English Literature, you will be testing on your Chromebook...bring it fully charged, and be ready to enter to your College Board login information!
You can practice for your exams, here.
If you have changed your mind about testing, please not that there are NO exam refunds or cancellations, at this time. You will simply follow your regular class schedule, for the day, in order not to be counted absent.
You will receive an email with details on your testing location 1-2 days prior to each exam.
Please contact Lauren Phillips at PhillipsL@friscoisd.org with questions.

WHAT SHOULD MY SENIOR WEAR?
The studio will provide a black graduation robe and a green stole for the photo. We do not use photos that include graduation cords or NHS stoles (You may take photos that include those for your own personal use but the yearbook does not publish them). For females, please wear a shirt with an open neck, as crew necks are visible beneath the gown. For males, a crew neck is fine and students do not need to provide their own dress shirt and tie. The studio will provide this.

Jostens was on campus in February to deliver orders that were placed before the February 18th deadline. We still have several orders that have not been picked up in the front office.
If you have not ordered your graduation announcements and or cap and gown, please click here to place your order. All orders after Senior Event Delivery will incur an individual shipping charge and will be sent directly to your home address. Individual reminders have been delivered to those who have not ordered. Email reminders will also be sent home.
The only items required for graduation are a gown, cap, stole, and tassel. While it is possible to borrow a cap & gown, please remember both the stole and tassel have the year on them. Also, gowns are fitted by height and weight. Items can be ordered individually on the Jostens website.
Graduates may only wear FISD-approved graduation attire and regalia including the campus-approved cap and gown and campus-approved cords and stoles.
Non-FISD approved stoles, leis, cords and/or any other non-FISD-approved outerwear are not permitted at graduation ceremonies.
Caps and/or other FISD-approved regalia and/or attire may not be decorated or amended in any way that disrupts uniformity amongst graduates. For example, a student may wear their personal jewelry or a small pendant, but may not wear a jacket, shawl, etc. that would make the student appear distractingly dissimilar to their graduating peers
All items that don’t conform to the above guidelines will be confiscated when students check in at the Ford Center, and it is the responsibility of the student to collect those items during diploma pick-up immediately following commencement ceremonies. FISD is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
If you have any questions, please call the Jostens office at 214-383-9502.
Graduation Transportation & Tickets
Due to the Friday traffic, all graduates of Lebanon Trail & Wakeland HS will be required to ride the bus to graduation (Not from). More details will follow as we come closer to the big day!
Graduation plans are underway with the Ford Center. Seating availability for this year's setup will allow us to provide 12 tickets per graduate.
Graduation Tickets and Cords will be passed out to students at graduation rehearsal on May 15th.
