Scholastic Book Fair Scholastic Book Fair

Reminder: The Book Fair is happening March 9th-11th. Students will be able to shop during the school day, and families are invited to shop on Tuesday, March 10th, from 4:30-6:30 pm. The Fair encourages students to read AND raises funds for our school. The easiest way for kids to shop at the Fair is to create and fund their child’s eWallet. No more worrying about cash, and their balances show right on the register. Visit our school homepage to get started: https://scholastic.com/bf/annvilleelementaryschool1

Fifth-Grade Puberty Lessons Fifth-Grade Puberty Lessons

Mrs. Light is joining Mrs. Bachman on our school counseling team. Please welcome her to AE as she begins March 2nd!

Fifth-grade students will be having a puberty lesson and viewing videos as part of their health

instruction. The videos are age-appropriate materials used as part of our health curriculum on

the endocrine system and the introduction of puberty.

The girls, under the supervision of the school nurse, will view “Always Changing and Growing

Up for Girls," a video on female puberty and menstruation. The boys will view the “Always Changing and Growing Up for Boys” male puberty education video under the supervision of the physical education teacher. If you are interested in viewing any of these videos, the “Always Changing” series can be found on YouTube.com.
