Eagles' Extra

Principal's Message
What a beautiful fall week we enjoyed at Donalda School! Thursday brought gorgeous weather for our final cross-country run of the season. Our Eagles capped off an exceptional season with outstanding efforts from every runner at CWAJHAA. Congratulations to all our runners on a fantastic season! We are so proud of your hard work, determination, and perseverance.
Fall quickly turned to winter on Friday as we welcomed our first snowfall of the year! The students had a blast playing in our very own winter wonderland. The fresh snow was perfect for building snow forts, and there was plenty of excitement and laughter outside!
Our girls’ volleyball team also hit the court in Big Valley this week. This outing provided a wonderful opportunity for players across Grades 5–9 to get out on the court, gain experience, and play together. It was great to see our athletes of all ages learning, growing, and representing Donalda School!
Looking ahead, I am looking forward to celebrating the achievements of our students at our Awards Night on Thursday. It is such a blessing to be part of our school community, and there is so much to celebrate! I look forward to recognizing the hard work, growth, and accomplishments of our students and sharing this special evening with our families and community.
Student of the Week
Maxton Bakkers
Max demonstrated exceptional leadership during recess. He noticed a conflict and used his reasoning and wisdom to help resolve the situation. He also showed compassion by offering comfort to another student. Way to go, Max! You are a wonderful example of a leader and a caring friend!
Harper Sehlstrom
Seeing Harper step up to offer support and encouragement during our volleyball lessons in Phys. Ed. has highlights her wonderful leadership qualities. Whether she is helping classmates with bumping and setting the ball, taking the time to explain skills with patience, or cheering others on, Harper leads with kindness, gentleness, and genuine care. Harper’s thoughtful approach and willingness to help others make her a wonderful role model. Way to go, Harper!
Elizabeth Reid
Elizabeth has consistently demonstrated strong leadership skills by supporting other students with joint leadership tasks. Consistently, Elizabeth has shown patience and kindness when working with her peers.
Addison Menecola
I am very proud of Addison for being such a great helper after painting! Without being asked, she washed all of our paint trays and took her time to make sure each one was nice and clean. Even when the rest of the class moved on to centers, which is always so much fun, Addison chose to stay and help me finish cleaning up. Thank you, Addison!
Awards Night
Halloween Parties
On Friday, please send your child(ren) to school dressed in their costumes. We are scheduling the morning to run with regular classes, with the parties starting after lunch. The party will kick off with a costume parade @ 1:15 pm. Parents, family and community members are welcome to join us in the gym to see all the costumes.
The parade will be followed by pumpkin carving and then individual classroom parties.
