February 13, 2026 Part 2
The Dawg Dispatch is our weekly snapshot of life as a Bulldawg, straight facts, clear wins, and what’s next, so families and staff can pull in the same direction. It reflects our mission:
“The mission of the Aberdeen School District is to inspire ALL students to become problem-solvers, lifelong learners, and productive members of society.”

Aberdeen High School Hosts Successful Parent Night
Aberdeen High School recently welcomed families to campus for Parent Night, allowing parents and guardians to pick up their scholars’ progress reports and meet directly with teachers and administrators.
The evening provided valuable face-to-face conversations about academic performance, goals for the remainder of the semester, and ways families and the school can continue working together to support student success. Strong schools are built on strong partnerships, and opportunities like this reinforce the importance of open communication and shared responsibility.
We appreciate the parents who took time out of their busy schedules to stay informed and engaged. When families stay involved, students benefit, and that’s what it’s all about.
Students in Mrs. Nichols’ Freshman Seminar class recently completed and presented their career exploration projects, taking an important step toward planning for their futures.
Through research, presentations, and thoughtful reflection, scholars explored potential career paths, education requirements, and the skills needed to succeed in their chosen fields. From healthcare and engineering to business and public service, students were challenged to think seriously about their goals and the work it will take to achieve them.
Freshman Seminar is designed to help students build strong foundations early—developing responsibility, vision, and a clear sense of direction. Projects like these reinforce the message that preparation starts now, not later.
We are proud of Mrs. Nichols and her students for putting in the effort to think ahead and dream big while doing the research to back it up.
Aberdeen High School's Aviation Program Prepares Students for Takeoff
Aberdeen High School’s Aviation Program/Flight Academy is giving students a rare and powerful opportunity: the chance to graduate already on the pathway to careers in the aviation industry. This program is more than an elective. It is a launchpad.
Students enrolled in the aviation pathway gain hands-on, real-world experience that sets them apart. Through structured coursework and industry-aligned instruction, scholars can graduate prepared to pursue certification as an aircraft mechanic or continue building the credentials needed to become a pilot. The program introduces students to the technical knowledge, safety standards, and mechanical skills required in the aviation field, a high-demand, high-skill industry with strong career stability.
For students interested in becoming pilots, the program also provides foundational flight knowledge and opportunities to accumulate flight hours, giving them a head start toward licensure. That kind of exposure at the high school level is exceptional and positions our students well ahead of the curve.
Aviation requires discipline, precision, and responsibility, qualities that are being developed daily in our classrooms and training spaces. Aberdeen High School is proud to offer a pathway that connects education directly to career readiness, allowing students to graduate with direction, experience, and momentum.
The future of aviation is bright, and our students are preparing now to take their place in it.

Nurse's Corner
🤍 Week 1: Kickoff to American Heart Month
This week, we’re encouraging Bulldog families to make small, heart-healthy choices—like adding extra steps during the day, choosing fruit for snacks, and staying hydrated. Healthy hearts help students stay energized, focused, and ready to learn.
❤️ School Nurse Spotlight: Promoting Heart Health at AES!
Our Aberdeen Elementary School nurse is spreading wellness and positivity with a powerful Heart Health Awareness display! The theme “Healthy Hearts, Happy Smiles” encourages students to learn the importance of caring for their hearts through healthy habits, movement, and positive choices.
Decorated with uplifting messages like “Never Give Up,” “Faith, Love, Hope,” and “The Beat Goes On,” the display supports February’s Heart Health Awareness Month and reminds our Bulldogs that taking care of their bodies starts with taking care of their hearts.
A special thank-you to Nurse Blanchard for using creativity and education to keep our students and staff healthy and informed!
🎓 Wednesdays Are for College Pride!
Every Wednesday, we encourage students and staff to wear college shirts! Why? Because seeing those college names and logos reminds our students that higher education is possible for them, whether it’s a school close to home or one across the country. It’s a simple way to spark conversations, plant dreams, and keep students motivated toward their future goals. Let’s show them that the road to college starts right here in Bulldawg Country!
💙🐾 Give a Bulldawg a Compliment! 🐾💙
