Dear Families,
Can you believe we’ve officially reached the final stretch of the school year? June has arrived with all its usual high-energy excitement. While the countdown to summer is on, our classrooms are still buzzing with deep learning, curiosity, and growth. We are pushing through to the finish line with minds wide open!
In the Gospel from Sunday, June 7th, we are beautifully reminded of the importance of community, nourishment, and coming together as one. As a school family, this message is the perfect anchor for us right now. It calls us to feed our spirits, support one another, and stay grounded in appreciation for the community we've built together this year.
With year-end activities coming up incredibly fast, our calendar is jam-packed!
Please keep an eye out for upcoming communications regarding:
Field trips and outdoor learning adventures
Year-end celebrations and final liturgies
Classroom wrap-up projects and special events
Thank you for your continued partnership, patience, and enthusiasm as we finish this school year strong, joyful, and united!

FAITH INTEGRATION
OLPH Parish Invitation
The first Sunday of the month is always Pastoral Priorities Sunday at OLPH, with tasty treats and time for socializing after every Mass. (5pm Saturday vigil, 8:30am, 10:30am, 12:30pm and 7pm)
We also host our monthly Family-Friendly Eucharistic Adoration 2:30-3:30pm (a holy hour where silence is NOT expected in the church.)
For the June 7 solemnity we have added something extra special: an Outdoor Eucharistic Procession! Everyone is invited to meet in front of the church and at 2:00pm we will process around the block led by the Body of Christ in the Monstrance, returning back to the church for Adoration at 2:30pm.
It would be wonderful to have groups from each of our Catholic schools walking together in witness to our love and reverence for the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. Please help spread the word! Everyone welcome!
Gospel for Kids
As a school community we meet each week for assembly and offer a short liturgy to our students. Many time sit will connect directly with the Gospel reading from the previous Sunday. This resource, Slapstick Theatre offers a great selection of videos which we use with our kids. This week we are sharing the message of God's love from 1 John 3:16-20.

LEARNERS & LEARNING
2L Published Authors!
Mrs. Larose's class spent some time this spring working on animal stories and beautiful illustrations. They were lucky enough to have their artwork and creative writing published into books which they received this week.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Grade 4 Transition to Grade 5 Info
Attention Grade 4 Parents!
Please be informed that our future grade 5 students who will be attending St. Theresa will be visiting this school during the morning of June 8th. During this time, they will meet some of the school leaders who will show them around the school, answer questions they might have, and do some activities.
Grade 9 ABJ Students Partner with Grade 4 Classes
Mrs. Proskiw's Leadership 9 students planned very engaging activities for our two grade 4 classes this afternoon. Kids were in groups that offered trivia, card making, scavenger hunt, parachute games, rubber chicken/tag games and more! We are forever thankful for the opportunity to connect with our high school leaders as they demonstrate for our students what kind, compassionate and generous humans they have become. Extra special to have some Madonna alumni come back into the building to remember their time in our school.
Strathcona County Speed Limit Proposal
The County is currently conducting a survey regarding a potential reduction in residential speed limits from 50 km/h to 40 km/h. They have asked for our County of Strathcona families to please add their voice by replying to this survey request.
