Greetings Hawk Parents and Guardians,

I hope this message finds you soaking up summer joy and making unforgettable memories! I just returned from a refreshing getaway to the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. I had the chance to relax on its sunny beaches and even explore the magical rainforest — a truly breathtaking experience!

As much as I’ve enjoyed my brief break, I’ve also been thinking about all of you and hoping that your summer has been filled with laughter, adventure, and special moments with loved ones.

While we still have a few more weeks of summer fun left, here are a few ideas to help your child stay active and keep their minds fresh during the break:

• 📚 Read together daily – even 15–20 minutes can make a big difference!

• 🧠 Try brain games like puzzles, memory games, or math challenges.

• 🏃‍♀️ Stay moving with family walks, dance parties, or a splash day in the yard.

• ✍️ Start a journal – a fun way to reflect on summer adventures!

📅 Meet the teacher night: Thursday, August 7 – come meet your child’s teacher and visit the classroom!

📚 First Day of School: Tuesday, August 12 – we can’t wait to welcome everyone back and kick off an amazing new school year!

¡Espero que este mensaje los encuentre disfrutando de la alegría del verano y creando recuerdos inolvidables! Acabo de regresar de una refrescante escapada a la hermosa isla de Puerto Rico. Tuve la oportunidad de relajarme en sus soleadas playas e incluso explorar la mágica selva tropical: ¡una experiencia realmente impresionante!

Si bien he disfrutado mucho de mi breve descanso, también he estado pensando en todos ustedes y esperando que su verano haya estado lleno de risas, aventuras y momentos especiales con sus seres queridos.

Aunque aún nos quedan algunas semanas de diversión veraniega, aquí les dejo algunas ideas para ayudar a su hijo a mantenerse activo y con la mente fresca durante las vacaciones:

📚 Lean juntos a diario: ¡incluso 15 o 20 minutos pueden marcar una gran diferencia!

🧠 Prueben juegos mentales como rompecabezas, juegos de memoria o desafíos matemáticos.

🏃‍♀️ Manténganse activos con paseos familiares, fiestas de baile o un día de chapoteo en el jardín.

✍️ ¡Empieza un diario! ¡Una forma divertida de reflexionar sobre las aventuras del verano!

📅 Conoce al maestro/maestra: Jueves 7 de agosto. ¡Ven a conocer al maestro de tu hijo/a y a visitar el aula!

📚 Primer día de clases: Martes 12 de agosto. ¡Estamos deseando darles la bienvenida a todos y comenzar un nuevo año escolar increíble!

¡Cuídense, manténganse seguros y sigan disfrutando de estos preciosos días de verano! ¡Espero ver sus brillantes sonrisas muy pronto!

Uniforms and Dress Code Reminders

• Monday, Tuesday & Thursday: Tops: Black, White, Gray Pants: Black or Khaki (Shirts should have N.W. Harllee logo)
• Wednesday- College Shirt with jeans
• Friday- Harllee purchased Spirit Shirt with Jeans OR Harllee Uniform ( Spirit shirts will be on sale in September)

• PTA is selling iron on uniform patches. Patches can be purchased on meet the teacher night.
