Welcome Back, CUSD.
We made it through the first week!
What a week it’s been. It has been such a joy to be out at our school sites, reconnecting with colleagues, catching up with families, and seeing the excitement (and a few nerves!) on our students’ faces as they kicked off a new school year. The highlight for me was the pep rally at CHS today - it’s amazing to think it’s only been one week and the incredible Islander spirit is overflowing!
As I begin my 11th year in this role I’m filled with gratitude for the people that make up our school community, and the greater community of Coronado. The connections we have are truly what makes this place special and I am honored to serve all of you.
Speaking of connections, if you haven’t had an opportunity to browse our CUSD CONNECTIONS MAGAZINE, please take a few minutes to find information that will be helpful as you navigate through the year in CUSD.
While it’s great to be back, getting back into the school and work routing isn’t always easy, but again, our students and staff have absolutely knocked it out of the park this week.
Here’s to a great start, a little more sleep, and an amazing year ahead!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Respectfully,
Karl J. Mueller
Superintendent
