From the Principal
Dear Lipscomb Families,
As we begin another week, I want to thank you for the many ways you support our students, teachers, and school community. Your partnership—whether you are helping your child prepare for the day, staying connected with teachers, volunteering, or participating in school events—makes a meaningful difference.
We have several special moments ahead, including Picture Day and Grandparents’ Day. These events give us opportunities to celebrate our students and the family members who encourage them along the way. Please take a few minutes to review this week’s Community Compass for important dates, reminders, and ways to stay involved.
Thank you for helping us create a school where every Lion feels supported, valued, and ready to learn. I’m grateful to serve this wonderful community and look forward to another great week together! 💜💛
With Lion Pride,
Principal Carter
Con orgullo de León,
Director Carter

105 Years of Lipscomb
1921–2026
September 19, 2026
For 105 years, William Lipscomb Elementary has been a place where generations of children have learned, grown, and become part of a community that extends far beyond our walls.
The neighborhood has changed. Education has changed. Generations have passed through our doors.
THE PRIDE CONTINUES.
This year, we celebrate 105 years of William Lipscomb Elementary and the students, educators, families, alumni, and community members who have each become part of its story.
105 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE AT LIPSCOMB
More anniversary stories and celebrations are coming throughout the year.
I was proud to represent the Lipscomb community as Dallas ISD recognized our campus for earning a B rating. This achievement belongs to our entire Pride—our students, teachers, staff, and families. It reflects the progress our students are making and the commitment of our community to continue moving Lipscomb forward.
We are proud of our progress—and even more excited about where we are headed.
