Skyline Dance Newsletter

Ascension dance company spent a day at Dobson High School in preparation for our annual Charity dance concert. We were excited to raise awareness and over $1000 for the cause. On October 22nd Ascension Dance Company were fortunate enough to attend Mountain View's Dance Device Lab Day! We were so honored to get to dance along side the Mountain View dancers at this years event. We brought our opener dance, Margarita's small group dance and Lauren's small group dance. The dances were adjudicated and rehearsed with Professional Dancers from New York City. We then took 2 dance classes, one contemporary and one Jazz. It was so much fun and we learned a lot!

Thank you to everyone who tried out! We had many talented dancers show up but unfortunately we can only take so many. Hip Hop club's new advisor is Ms. Diaz and Ms. Oliver is the advisor to Latin club.

Thank you to everyone who tried out! We are excited to see Latin club perform at this years assemblies and in the dance concert!

Every year Ms. Oliver takes the Ascension Dance Company on a trip out of state. This year our trip was to Orlando Florida! We took 3 dances while we were there and a special Class with Disney! We saw a fun Pirate Show and even got to participate in the show as "extra's". The last few days were spent going to Disney Hollywood Studio, The Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Epcot. We stayed at the Disney Movie Resort which was so convenient to all the parks. We had a great time!

In addition to classes we have rehearsals after school from 3:15-4pm. Ascension has after school practices Monday-Thursday. Latin and Hip hop clubs also meet on Wednesdays after school!
