February Yegua Update

Welcome to Yegua Country!
We are very excited to introduce to you a new way that we hope to streamline how we are celebrating our students and staff across the district. There are some incredible things that are going on in Somerville ISD! If you have suggestions on information that you would like to see in this newsletter, or if there are things that we can improve upon please let me know!
Thank you for doing everything as a parent/guardian, student, staff member, or by just being an adamant supporter of Somerville ISD to help make our district such a special place to learn and work! Great things are happening here and I hope that you look for ways to get involved in the decisions that are being made in our district and on our campuses!

The P.E.M.M. Squad
The P.E.M.M. (Positive Encouraging Motivational Movement) Squad presented their group and mission to the School Board members and community at the recent School Board meeting. Their goal is to spread positivity throughout the Elementary and Intermediate campus, encouraging our students to be the best that they can be. Awesome job Yeguas!!!!
Ag Breakfast
Congratulations to Abigail Flencher (Jr), Aleen Isom (Sr.), Jena Foster (Jr), and Savannah Eschete (So.) for representing Somerville ISD at the Regional Band Concert. These students had to audition against students from several schools in our region, and had to perform excerpts from two selections they learned along with their scales for a panel of judges.

The mission of the Somerville I.S.D. Education Foundation (SEF) is to raise and distribute funds to enhance the educational experience of all Somerville ISD students by providing scholarships and financial support through educational grants to supplement district-wide programs and activities.
