Greetings Parents, Students, Family, Friends, and Fans of the DMS Wolf Band!

Bandmaster's Message Bandmaster's Message

Greetings!

Our 8th grade band members had a fun time hanging out with the DHS Band at the Comal County Fair Parade on Friday! It's always a treat when HS and MS Bands can come together for an event. As much fun as performing is, I'm pretty sure their favorite part was the pizza party after parade. Thanks to kids and parents for making it all happen!

Our next big event is our Fall Concert on October 19th. That's a few short weeks away. All DMS Band students are involved in our Fall Concert. It'll be our Beginning Band's first public performance; so exciting! An event schedule with arrival times and performance times will be shared soon.

In this edition of the TWIB:

  • This Week in Band
  • Upcoming Events
  • Forms
  • Recurring Information

Thanks for being a part of the DMS Wolf Band!

"I would teach children music, physics, and philosophy; but most importantly music, for the patterns in music and all the arts are the keys to learning."

Practice = Progress Practice = Progress

Reminder...The Band Hall is open every morning for students to come practice. We frequently have organized practices/rehearsals, however, at least one of our band rooms is open for students to practice as needed. Students should be practicing their instrument daily, whether at home or during tutorials time. This should add up to at least 100 minutes of practicing per week. This is necessary for your student to continue to improve and progress appropriately through the curriculum.
