Principal's Message

Greetings Sunny Heights Families,

The new start date for the S.A.F.E. reopening of schools is Thursday, August 6th. A copy of the S.A.F.E. reopening guidance and adjusted school calendar can be found on our district website (www.warren.k12.in.us). A reminder that families have the choice to begin the year physically at school or virtually (see information below). The deadline to select the virtual learning option is Monday, July 20th.

We are all excited to connect with our school family and are continuing to work very hard to prepare the building in accordance with government guidelines for a safe return. Guidelines for a safe return will result in changes to some of our procedures and practices in order to maximize social distancing and the safety of all.

Registration for new students

Starting Monday, July 20th our office is open to accept new registrations by appointment only. If your student ended the school year in a Warren Township school, you do not need to take any additional action to be registered for school. Please contact us at 317-532-2900 with any questions or to schedule an appointment to register your child.

Summer Food Distribution

Due to our new start date, summer food distribution will continue next week on Tuesday and Friday from 11:00-1:00pm.

Warren's Virtual Option

We are still offering instructional options in either the physical school setting or virtually for families who are not able or are uncomfortable returning to school on the scheduled start date. Please know that this coming Monday, July 20th is the LAST day to register for virtual school. To register for virtual learning, please contact us at 317-608-0545 or warrenregistration@warren.k12.in.us. Again, this weekend is the last opportunity to register your student for the virtual option.

Is your child a car rider or daycare rider?

We anticipate a greater number of car riders this school year. If your student(s) will be a car rider or daycare transportation this school year please email our secretary Mrs. Jordan (ejordan@warren.k12.in.us) with your child's transportation information as soon as possible. This will help make our arrival and dismissal processes much safer and more efficient.

2020 Pesticide Notification Registry

The Indiana Pesticide Review Board has regulations that impact how school corporations may use pesticides on school grounds. MSD Warren Township follows these guidelines and we are inviting parents and guardians to join our Pesticide Notification Registry. By signing up for this registry, you will be notified via email at least 48 hours prior to a pesticide application at your child’s school, subject to certain exceptions. You will be invited to sign up for this notification each school year.

You will need to sign up for this notification every school year.

If you would like to participate, please complete the required form found at www.warren.k12.in.us.
