FROM DOAN'S DESK....
Monarch Mayhem is coming!!!!
This is the final reminder of everything that is happening between Sunday, September 21st (parade) and Saturday, September 27th (dance) with all of our Monarch Mayhem Homecoming events.
We are super excited for our students get to show off and experience everything they have created. Hopefully, there is at least one event that students can be a part of during this week of events. This is ultimately a showcase of our school spirit and everything good that is happening in our school community.

MAYHEM EVENTS SCHEDULE
JOIN MONARCH'S SCHOOL ACCOUNTABILITY COMMITTEE
Something we could use specific parent involvement with is our SAC - School Accountability Committee. Our SAC meets at Monarch and discusses relevant school issues ranging from operations, academics, assessments, improvement planning, and budget.
Our first meeting will be on Thursday, September 25th at 6:00pm in the Coyote Learning Commons. The topics at the beginning of the year are the results from our school performance framework and our unified improvement planning.
Please email Principal Greg Doan at gregory.doan@bvsd.org with any interest in serving as a participant in our SAC. You will be added to the list of participants from last year and invited to our meetings (once a month, in the evenings). Thanks, and I look forward to getting as much help, support, and feedback from the MoHi parent community as possible.

HUGE congrats to MOHI MEDIA

On top of that, The Mix was named a finalist for an NSPA Pacemaker. This award, which has been around for over 100 years, is the equivalent of a Pulitzer Prize in scholastic media. We find out in November the winners in these categories.

Free Dental Care
Colorado Mission of Mercy (COMOM) is a nonprofit organization that hosts a large-scale, two-day free dental clinic in a different Colorado community each year. Since 2007, COMOM has served more than 20,000 patients and provided over $18 million in donated dental services.
The clinics are open to anyone in need and are held in large venues—such as schools or event centers—that they transform into fully functional, 125-chair dental facilities. Over two days, patients receive cleanings, fillings, root canals, extractions, dentures, and ceramic crowns—all at no cost. This effort is made possible through the support of nearly 200 volunteer dentists, along with hygienists, assistants, lab technicians, healthcare professionals, and hundreds of community volunteers. Beyond relieving pain, they restore oral health and appearance—helping patients regain confidence, dignity, and even employment opportunities.
This year, the clinic will be held in Loveland at The Ranch on October 17–18. They expect to serve more than 1,600 patients with the help of over 2,000 volunteers. Because of Loveland’s proximity, this could be a valuable resource for many BVSD students and families.

Cuidado Dental Gratuito
