2026-2027 Community Leadership Team 2026-2027 Community Leadership Team

Haslett Public Schools is now accepting applications for the 2026–2027 Community Leadership Team. Parents/guardians, staff, students, and community members are invited to lend their voices, perspectives, and experiences to help shape district-level problem-solving and strengthen our schools. Members who served on the Community Leadership Team last year are invited and encouraged to return for the 2026–2027 school year.

Open positions include two parent/guardian representatives per building (10 total), along with opportunities for staff representatives, middle and high school student representatives, and community representatives.

Members will serve on committees focused on Inclusive School Culture, Family & Community Engagement, Hiring & Retention, and Student Safety. The Student Safety Task Force will now serve as a committee of the Community Leadership Team, bringing its ongoing work into the broader team structure. Members will help identify challenges and barriers, consider multiple perspectives and data, and provide thoughtful recommendations to district leadership.

Meetings will be held from 6:00–7:30 p.m. at the Haslett Public Schools Administration Building on October 5, December 7, March 1, and May 3. Members are asked to actively participate in meetings and committee work and contribute to respectful, solution-oriented dialogue.

Applications are due August 26, 2026. Apply at: CLT Application. Questions may be directed to the Superintendent’s Office at (517) 339-8242.

Parent Monitoring: Securly Home App

As a parent, if you’re looking for more ways to monitor your child’s online behavior at home, Securly Home can help. This is connected to your student’s school email only.

If you are looking for ways to monitor your student’s online presence with their own accounts, check out this article from Common Sense Media.

Once you have downloaded the app (search for "Securly Home" in your app store), it'll ask you for your school email address and they mean your email that is connected to your parent Skyward access. You'll automatically be connected to all of your students’ online activities (as long as that activity is on our district email).

The Securly App has additional parent filters for home use and parent/guardians are able to set schedules for when students are allowed to be on the internet (again, school email only).

Securly Home is one of many ways we work to keep your children safe online. Please view these slides if you're interested in more of our filtering and CIPA-compliant information.

Director of Facilities Director of Facilities

We are pleased to welcome Ryan Robart as our next Director of Facilities. In this role, Ryan will oversee the buildings, grounds, and operations that keep our schools safe, comfortable, and ready for learning every day.

Ryan joins us after more than 20 years in the United States Air Force, where he led facilities and infrastructure operations, capital construction projects, and large teams. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Management and an Associate of Applied Science in Mechanical and Electrical Technology, and he is a certified Project Management Professional. Ryan and his family have relocated to the Lansing area, and he looks forward to getting to know our students, staff, and community.

We also want to thank Steve Kioski for his years of dedicated service to Haslett Public Schools. Steve has cared for our facilities and our students with steadiness and pride, and we are grateful for all he has done. Ryan will work alongside Steve during the transition so our operations continue without interruption.

Please join us in welcoming Ryan to Haslett Public Schools.

Student Update - REQUIRED ANNUALLY! Student Update - REQUIRED ANNUALLY!

Have you UPDATED your child's information yet?

Haslett Public Schools utilizes an online verification process each school year. Schools will not be sending home paper Student Information or Emergency/Health forms. Instead, parents or guardians must officially verify and update registration files digitally.

This process not only updates emergency contact information and address changes but it grants permission for students to attend field trips and acknowledges the student handbook/technology ethics/concussion agreements etc. This acknowledgement is necessary for use of district technology and meets district and State of Michigan requirements.

Take a few minutes and update your child's information today!
