Please note that when there is a substitute bus, the tracking does not work.
Food Allergy Awareness Reminder
Milton Public Schools is not “allergen free” or “nut free.” As a public school system with 4400 students, MPS cannot be allergen free - but staff, students and families can work together to create a respectful space for children and families with food allergies. All snacks brought into the classroom by students should be nut free and all food supplied by Milton Public schools cafeteria is nut free. Gluten, Dairy, Egg and other allergies can be accommodated when accompanied with a MD note from the student's pediatrician. In addition to nut free classroom snacks, your student's teacher may reach out with additional snack restrictions based on individual classroom makeup.
Designated allergen safe tables are available in all MPS cafeterias. Parents/ guardians may request that their student sit at this table during lunch by contacting their school nurse and teacher. These tables will be cleaned and sanitized as per district protocol.
Free and Reduced Meal Application
Even though all students receive one free breakfast and one free lunch in Massachusetts, it is still important to fill out a Free and Reduced Application if you think you may qualify so that you can receive financial aid from other fee based programs such as sports fees, transportation, AP/SAT testing, college applications, etc.
These applications can be found under Meal Applications on the Food Service website, which can be mailed to Natalia Perez, Director of Food Service, at Milton High School, 25 Gile Rd, Milton MA 02186 or emailed to her at Nperez@miltonps.org.
Once you complete the application you should fill out the "Sharing Benefits Form" which is also found on the food service page because your eligibility is confidential, and other departments cannot provide you financial aid unless you give consent to the Food Service Director to give those applications results to other departments.
The forms can also be found in PowerSchool, under Food Services > Meal Applications
Summer Programming Survey
Did your child attend Milton Summer Enrichment, Camp Cunningham or Camp Tucker? Might they attend next summer? If so, we would love to have your feedback on what worked, what might be improved and what your family is looking for in summer programming. Please take just a couple of minutes to answer a few questions in this short survey. We appreciate your input as we begin to plan for next summer.
