Thank you to the families who were able to attend the Valentine's party! We enjoyed visiting and eating ice cream together! We look forward to seeing you all again soon!

The week of February 24th through February 28st, K-8 Connect celebrated The Great Kindness Challenge (GKC) week. During that week, we learned about acts of kindness and how they are contagious. Our students were given a challenege: Whoever completed the most acts of kindness on their GKC checklist would win a $25 McDonald's giftcard and a prize from the treasure box. Congraluations to Alejandro Grana Ayala who completed 12 acts of kindness during GKC week! Below is a picture of him with his awards! We're so proud of you for spreading kindness, Alejandro!

Honorable mention goes to Mateo Leija who completed 9 acts of kindness!

During the month of February, we celebrated Black History Month by having guest readers visit our classrooms and share stories that highlight history, culture, and achievements. Check out the pictures below capturing our guest readers in classrooms.

We are currently inducting our February Champion's Club members! Each member will receive a special prize of their choice and receive a certificate as well as special recognition at our next Student Awards Assembly.

Champion's Club Criteria:

1. Met 90% daily point sheet goal 90% of the previous month
2. 2 or fewer unexcused absences
3. Put forth adequate effort toward academic work
4. No major discipline referrals during the previous month
