Performing Arts Newsetter

Thank you so much for all of your support! We made over $6,000 for our performing arts department throughout the wreath sales! These funds will help us purchase a tuba, buy concert music, pay substitutes when we are at festivals, purchase costumes and sets and so on. We appreciate your support! Wreaths will be delivered the week after Thanksgiving. They typically arrive the Tuesday following our holiday break. Students will be notified when they arrive and will be asked to pick their wreaths up that day. The sooner they get home, the fresher they will be. Please deliver promptly.

Manning's holiday concerts are coming fast, get your tickets here. We will have two nights of concerts, make sure you purchase tickets for the correct night.

12/9/25 at 7:00 p.m.-Advanced ensembles (Resonance, Jazz Band, Symphonic Band and Advanced Orchestra)

Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

12/11/25 (2 concerts) 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. - Beginning and intermediate ensembles (Beginning band, Beginning orchestra, Concert Band, Intermediate Orchestra, Images) Please choose ONE concert to attend on this night to allow all families to attend. Please do not come early for the second concert as parking will be tight. Allow the first concert audience to leave before entering for the second concert.

Doors open at 5:00 p.m. for the first concert and 7:00 p.m. for the second concert

We have changed our spring musical for this year due to licensing complications with Sponge Bob. We will be performing Disney's The Little Mermaid Jr.. Some students may see a schedule change for second semester so don't forget to check your calendars once those schedules are released. Our performances are April 29th-May 1st.

• Monday, November 17 – Jeffco Middle School Honor Band & Orchestra Auditions
  Location: Creighton Middle School
  Open to 7th and 8th graders interested in auditioning.
  Students can sign up for an audition time using the link attached to this email.

• Friday, December 5 – Symphonic Band Rehearsal at Lakewood High School

  Time: 4:30–5:30 PM
  This is a combined rehearsal for the parade performance later in December.
  The rehearsal will be mostly outdoors—students should dress warmly. Students will receive their shirt for the performance this evening.

• Tuesday, December 9 & Thursday, December 11 – Holiday Concerts

• December 9: Symphonic Band (5th period) and Jazz Band

• December 11: Concert Band (6th period) and Beginning Bands (1st, 2nd, and 3rd period)
  Concert Dress: Concert black (fancy black top and bottom, all-black socks and shoes) with a touch of festive flair.
  Call Time: 45 minutes before the concert.

• Saturday, December 13 – Golden Holiday Parade (Symphonic Band Only)

  Students will meet at Lakewood High School at 8:00 AM, wearing black pants, Lakewood Band shirt, and a Santa hat.
  Transportation will be provided from Lakewood to the parade and back.

All County:

Students selected for All County Choir have a $40 fee that was added to Campus.Students are required to attend an after school rehearsal at Manning on Thursday, November 13, and an all day rehearsal and evening concert at Alameda International HS on November 14. This choir will consist of the best middle school singers in our county and be directed by an expert clinician. See this letter for more information.

All State:

Students who auditioned for All State Choir have an added fee of $25 to Campus, and if selected, the participation fee is $40. If selected, students will rehearse at the CO Convention Center on February 12th and 13th with an evening concert that night. Please see this website for more specific information. These choirs will consist of the best middle school singers in our state and will be directed by expert clinicians.

Jeffco Middle School Honor Orchestra Auditions
Auditions for 7th and 8th grade students will take place on Monday, November 17th from 5:30–8:00 PM at Creighton Middle School. We wish all our students auditioning the best of luck!
