Important Reminders
Students:
- Please remind your children to check our Job Board as new jobs are listed. Currently, we are seeking Science Bin Coordinators. Promoters of Positivity and Morning Announcers.
- We ask that all visitors/volunteers bring their Driver's License as we have a check-in system in the vestibule that requires it for identification purposes.
- During morning and afternoon drop off, do not enter the staff parking lot. Students should be dropped off and picked up on Spring Street unless they are taking the bus or walking.
- Students arriving late to school need to be signed in by their parent/guardian so please accompany them into the school.
- For safety reasons, we are trying to minimize the number of people entering and exiting our school. Please remind your children to bring all their materials for school including snack, lunch, instruments and laptops.
Student Lighthouse Team
We have recently begun a new initiative at Washington School, creating a Student Lighthouse Team. Mrs. Loew has visited each classroom to show them this video which explains the role of a Student Lighthouse Team in a school. Our Student Lighthouse Team will have 3 committees, which are described below. These committees will be responsible for brainstorming projects they can take on to help make Washington School the best it can be. Each student may apply for only 1 committee. Job applications will be accepted through Friday, December 15th, with students being selected during the of December 18th, and the committees launching in January. Committees will meet one day per week during the lunch and recess portion of their day.
