It's Homecoming Week at PCHS!
We are looking forward to a great week for Homecoming! We have six wonderful young ladies representing our school on our Homecoming Court and one will be crowned Queen at halftime of our game vs. Hackleburg on Friday night.
We hope the weather will cooperate this week but, unfortunately, the forecast is not looking good. At last look, there was an 80 percent change of rain/storms on Wednesday and Thursday. If this forecast doesn't change considerably, we have made contingency plans for some Homecoming Week activities. These include moving the pep rally to the gym on Thursday at 2:30pm and moving the parade to 2pm on Friday with an early dismissal at 12pm (high school and elementary). Obviously, we don't want to do this but we can't control the weather and we will not put our students in an unsafe environment for a parade.
Also, See You At The Pole will be Wednesday morning at 7:30am. If it is raining, this event will be moved indoors to the gym.
Our band competed in the Russellville HS band competition on Saturday. They earned the following awards: Superior Drum Major, Superior Color Guard, Superior Majorette, Excellent Percussion, Excellent Band. Congratulations to Mr. Stacy and our Phil Campbell High School Marching Bobcat Band!
Our Varsity volleyball team picked up an area win over Colbert County on Tuesday to improve tow 2-2 in area play and claim sole position of second place in the area with two games remaining in area play. Our JV volleyball team picked up two big wins over Class 4A Hamilton and Cordova on Thursday and Colbert County on Tuesday.
Our JH football team remained undefeated beating Colbert County at home on Monday night.
Have A Great Week!
