Lil Steamer Families --
We've had a fantastic start to the school year, and I'm thrilled to announce that Homecoming Week is just around the corner (starting September 29) with the theme Glow Big or Go Home! We're all looking forward to celebrating our school and showing our amazing community spirit. Details for our dress up days can be found further in the newsletter.
This month, we're focusing on our Capturing Kids' Hearts character trait of Empathy. Our teachers are doing a great job helping students understand what it means to put themselves in someone else's shoes and show kindness and compassion. It’s been inspiring to see our students looking out for each other and be kind to one another.
Have a great weekend,
JAGH

WOW - where is September going? The school year is off to a wonderful start! It is crazy to think that we are already 5 weeks into this new school year. We have many exciting things on the horizon. Homecoming is coming up the week of September 29 and we need to be ready to Glow Big or Go Home! Then shortly after Homecoming, we will participate in fire prevention week which falls the week of October 6. During fire prevention week, we will welcome the fire department into the school! Maybe at some point throughout all of these exciting activities, we will also welcome some fall type weather!
Have a GREAT weekend!

As I visit classrooms this month, we will focus on building a positive classroom community and promoting positive peer relationships. We will share some of our interests and discuss the importance of listening with attention. It never hurts to review listening skills with your children. Good listeners focus on the speaker’s words, ask questions to find out more, repeat back what they have heard, and never interrupt. It’s respectful to listen with attention as it helps you to learn and shows that you care about what others have to say.
Meet the FBP/FES Family!
It is easy to learn about the teacher that your child/children have or have had. However, at FBP and FES, we are one large team. For this reason, we will introduce and give some fun information about each of our family members in our newsletter!
