Weekly update for Peirce Middle School
Dear Peirce families,
On behalf of our entire faculty and staff, we want to wish you a wonderful and restful Thanksgiving holiday. We hope everyone is afforded the opportunity to spend time with loved ones, and recharge from the first stretch of our school year. Just as a reminder, Monday, November 25 is a full day of school for students. Due to parent-team conferences, Tuesday, November 26 is a half day with an 11:35 a.m. dismissal. Champs Club will not meet after school. Additionally, students will be off from school starting on Wednesday, November 27 through Friday, November 29. School will re-open on Monday, December 2. Speaking of December, please see Student Council's Winter Spirit Themes, taking us up to winter break. First up, "Mistle Toes." Wear your favorite Holiday socks!

Scholastic Book Fair is Coming to Peirce!
The Scholastic Book Fair will be visiting Peirce Middle School from Monday, December 9 through Thursday, December 12. Students will visit the book fair during their English or Reading class. You may access additional information by clicking on the flyer below. Any questions may be directed to the school librarian, Mrs. Rosenberger (CROSENBERGER@wcasd.k12.pa.us).
Winter Sports for 7th and 8th Grade Students
Winter sports at Peirce will start at different times depending on the specific sport and grade level. Please see the start dates/tryout dates and contact information for each sport. If a student has already played a Peirce sport this year, your student only needs to submit a Section PIAA recertification (by a parent/guardian). If this is the first Peirce sport this year, a full PIAA Physical will be required prior to starting the season. Please see the directions to register through family ID below. West Chester High School Basketball Teams offering skills clinics
The West Chester varsity boy's basketball coaches are teaming up again to offer a three separate clinic dates this winter. During these three sessions, the coaching staff will put the kids through the same drills as our varsity teams do. Children will be grouped by age, gender, and skill. We will primarily focus on skill development during the sessions. You can sign up for one, or all three! Please see the attached flyer for all sign up information.

YMCA to Offer Free Memberships to 7th Grade Students
