Hunt Elementary

The Superintendent’s Scholar Award is a districtwide student recognition program given by Plano ISD Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Theresa Williams, recognizing academic achievement and students who are demonstrating a trajectory toward college, career, and military readiness.

Students receive the award based upon performance on Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) in reading and math.

Middle of the Year MAP results are examined at the district level to determine eligibility for the recognition in the spring of the school year. Students will take the middle of the year MAP during the testing window of November 30 to December 18.

Students must achieve the minimum scores on the MAP listed below in reading and math. Scores can be found in Skyward after administration.

Dear Parents/Families,

I am excited to share that our annual Spelling Bee is open to all students in grades K-5 who are interested in participating! This is a wonderful opportunity for students to build their spelling skills, boost confidence, and have fun.

The preliminary Spelling Bee will be held on Friday, November 20th. Top spellers from this round will move on to compete in the Hunt Spelling Bee on Monday, December 12th.

Please note that during the Spelling Bee, students may be asked to spell words from any of the study sheets provided, so it's important to review all of them as part of their preparation.
