Update Parent Vue for 2026-27 School Year - MUST DO Prior to Schedule Pick-Up!

When logging into Parent Vue you will be asked to register your student for the 2026-27 school year BEFORE you can view your student information such as grades and attendance.

In the event you cannot log in to Parent Vue, please contact the building your student is currently or will be attending in 2026-27 school with any questions and login assistance. This step MUST be complete BEFORE Student Schedules can be picked up in August.

Student Supervision - Looking for Partners! Student Supervision - Looking for Partners!

As we prepare for an incredible school year, our top priority is creating a safe, supportive environment where our middle schoolers can thrive. Lunchtime is a vital part of the day—a less structured time where students practice independence, social skills, and self-reliance. To support them during this daily transition, we are looking for positive adult role models to join us as paid Lunchtime Supervisors.

The ideal candidate understands the unique balance of keeping students safe while still giving them the space they need to grow. If you or someone you know loves working with middle school students and wants to make a direct impact on our school culture, we would love to hear from you.

While there is no official district job posting yet, you can express early interest right now. Please reach out directly to Zach Bradley (zbradley@fentonschools.org) or Ben Malecki (bmalecki@fentonschools.org) via email to learn more about the hourly rate, schedule, and responsibilities.

Thank you for partnering with us to keep our school safe and vibrant!

Greetings AGS Families,

July is incredible in Michigan. I hope you're spending time doing things that bring you excitement, joy, and meaningful connections with the people you love.

My July is filled with moments like those, and it's also an exciting time for my family and me because I'm thrilled to join the Fenton Community as the next principal at Andrew G Schmidt Middle School! It is a great honor to step into the principal role at AGS. I've already had some incredible experiences meeting many of the people who work so hard for the school. It is clear to me that AGS is a very special place, and that there are some seriously talented, compassionate people who make it this way. I am proud of the work that we're doing already to prepare for this upcoming school year.

I am eager to begin working with you, too. The AGS Schedule Pick Up Information below will mark some of our earliest moments together. Beyond that, we'll find creative opportunities to connect and strengthen our community.

I feel so welcomed and want to share a little more about myself. I live in Hartland with my wife, our two children, and our two dogs. They are my most important team and are excited to support my move to AGS! Our son is beginning ninth grade and our daughter is beginning sixth grade this coming school year. We love spending time in the Upper Peninsula on Drummond Island and loved the World Cup. Professionally, I recently finished my fourth year as the Principal at Hutchings Elementary School in Howell after one year as the Assistant Principal at Milan Middle School. Prior to that, I taught in Brighton Area Schools and Huron Valley Schools teaching English and Social Studies at middle and high school levels.

As our summer breaks continue, please don't hesitate to email me should the need arise. My address is bmalecki@fentonschools.org and I'll be sure to respond between my own summer adventures.

It is a great honor to be the principal at a building as special as Andrew G Schmidt Middle School. I'm excited for the opportunity, but more excited for the great things we'll do together over the coming years.

Thank you!

Ben Malecki
