Adaptable Dealey!
“It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most adaptable to change.”
— Charles Darwin
At Dealey Montessori & International Academy, adaptability is more than a skill—it’s a way of learning and living. Rooted in the Montessori philosophy, our students are taught to observe, reflect, problem-solve, and adjust as they grow. In our International Academy framework, adaptability takes on a global lens, preparing students to navigate diverse perspectives, cultures, languages, and an ever-changing world with confidence and empathy.
Over the past weeks, our entire community has demonstrated this value beautifully. From shifting schedules to weather-related closures and adjustments caused by the winter storm, families, students, and staff showed patience, flexibility, and grace. Thank you for partnering with us, trusting our decisions, and prioritizing safety while continuing to support learning—even when plans changed. Your adaptability makes our school stronger.
🏆 A Moment of Pride: Texas Honor Roll School
We are incredibly proud to share that George B. Dealey Montessori Academy has been named to Educational Results Partnership’s 2025 Texas Honor Roll, recognizing us as one of the top-performing public schools in the state.
This prestigious recognition highlights schools that have consistently outperformed their peers in closing achievement gaps—particularly for higher-poverty and historically disadvantaged student populations. Out of all eligible schools in Texas, only 1,076 schools (approximately 15%) earned this distinction, based on student outcomes from STAAR data across the 2023–2025 academic years.
Being named to the Honor Roll affirms the impact of our Montessori approach, our international focus, and the collective commitment of our teachers, students, and families to academic excellence in reading, writing, math, and science. Even more importantly, it reflects our shared belief that every child can thrive when given the right environment, support, and expectations.
Thank you, Dealey community, for believing in our mission, embracing change, and continuing to light the way forward—together. 💙✨
