Our students have worked diligently over the past two weeks, completing their ILEARN tests in ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Computer Science. We are incredibly proud of their hard work this year and are excited to see the growth they have achieved!

As we near the end of the school year, some students may find it challenging to manage their emotions and may express their frustrations inappropriately. We encourage you to talk with your child about the importance of regulating their behavior and using kind, respectful language. It is much more enjoyable to finish the year on a positive note than to deal with consequences.

We would also like to give a special shout-out to all the students participating in the play this weekend! With the support of Mr. and Mrs. Walsh, Mr. and Mrs. Warnock, Mr. and Mrs. Wagner, and Miss Dotson, our students have the wonderful opportunity to perform in front of a live audience. Please see the flyers below and come out to support our talented acting crew!

Guidance Update Guidance Update

The focus of classroom guidance has been on developing problem-solving skills. Students have been encouraged to ask themselves three key questions when facing a decision: What is my problem? Why is this a problem? How can I solve my problem safely and effectively? After discussing these questions, students were paired with a classmate to complete a task and then reviewed the questions together. These skills are valuable for students to apply not only in class but also during recess, in after-school activities, and at home

3rd Grade: Koden Smith

Koden has grown so much this school year in both reading and math, and I couldn't be more proud of him. The dedication and hard work he gives every day are truly amazing. Even when Koden doesn't feel great or is just kinda having a bad day, he still works hard. His determination to be a role model and a leader for our school is something he should be proud of. I love Koden's fun, caring, and loud personality! Every day, he has a story to tell me, and I love to hear about his adventures. He is always willing to lend a hand to a peer or an adult. I know he is going to do amazing things in his future, and I am honored to have been a part of his story. He truly is a role model BRAVE!

4th Grade: Finnley Collins

This weekโ€™s Brave of the Week is Finnley, a student who has truly demonstrated what it means to be courageous, committed, and willing to grow. Finnley stepped out of his comfort zone and took a leap by auditioning for the school playโ€”something that was completely new to him. Since then, he has done a phenomenal job learning his lines, developing his acting skills, and embracing what it means to be part of a cast. His willingness to take on a challenge and fully commit to it has been inspiring. Watching him grow, not only as a performer but also as a person, has been such a joy. Finnley has shown us all that trying something new can lead to incredible growth and even uncover hidden talents. I am so incredibly proud of him and all the work he has put into this production. Break a leg, Finnley! Youโ€™ve earned this spotlight!

Elise just recently joined our class, but fits in as if she has been here all year. She is like a ray of sunshine when she walks into our classroom. She always compliments her classmates and teachers, making everyone around her feel special. Not only does Elise show amazing Braves behavior, but she is also one smart cookie. Elise is always willing to participate in class and sparks some amazing discussions. She loves writing and reading, and her work reflects her passion. We are so thankful Elise is part of our class. Congrats, Elise, we are so proud of you!
