HOPE FOR THE FUTURE

Dear Parents and Caretakers,

I few testing reminders and encouraging words!

  1. You’re Doing Great: Parenting is not easy, and it’s okay to have tough days. Remember, you’re doing the best you can!
  2. Every Day is a New Opportunity: Each day brings fresh chances to learn and grow with your child. Embrace the journey!
  3. Trust Your Instincts: You know your child better than anyone else. Trust your instincts and make choices that feel right for your family.
  4. Remember to Take Care of Yourself: Self-care isn’t selfish. Taking time for yourself makes you a better parent for your children.
  5. Celebrate the Little Moments: Cherish the small wins and everyday joys. They add up to a beautiful parenting experience!
  6. You Are Their First Teacher: The love and guidance you provide shape their future. Your influence is more powerful than you realize!
  7. Mistakes are Part of the Process: No one is perfect. Mistakes are opportunities for growth—for both you and your child.
  8. Lean on Your Support System: Don’t hesitate to ask for help from friends, family, or parenting groups. You don’t have to do this alone!
  9. Your Love is Enough: The love you give your children is the foundation they need. Your presence is the greatest gift they can receive.
  10. You’re Not Alone in This Journey: Many parents share the same doubts and struggles. Community support can make all the difference.

Remind yourself of these affirmations, and know that you are making a meaningful impact in your child’s life every single day!

CORE VALUE HOPE

SAY IT:

Hope: Believing that something good can come out of something bad

KNOW IT:

ASK A GROWN-UP:

• When was a time in your life that you held out hope that something bad would get better?

• How has hope helped you through difficult times?

ASK A KID:

• What are some things that you hope for in your life?

• Is there anything you are experiencing right now, that you are holding out hope will

eventually get better?

SEE IT:

It is impossible to avoid bad things in life. All around us, people get sick, tragedies

occur, accidents happen, and people make mistakes. Sometimes, it is easy to focus

on the bad things that are happening. Having hope can help us deal with our sadness

and disappointment. Even in situations that do not get better, we can have hope that

good things will come out of these bad situations. In this book, Little Mole learns from

his mother how to find hope even when things look dark: https://www.youtube.com/

watch?v=MBAtu2QtoyY

BE IT:

Together as a family, create a lightbulb out of construction paper. On the bulb, write things

you can think of that will help you remember to have hope. These can be the names of

family members or other people who inspire you, things you love to do, beautiful things in

the world, or anything else you can think of! Display the bulb in a place where you can all

enjoy it and remember what brings you joy and hope!
