Mental Health Week May 4th-8th
Mental health is an essential part of overall well-being, shaping how we think, feel, connect, and cope with life. This week we hope to build awareness, connection, and care within our school community.
On Wednesday, May 6th will be Hats on for Mental Health! Show your support by wearing your favorite hat!
Students can expect daily mental health messages on the cafeteria TVs, along with a devotional video shared by our campus pastors.
Special activities led by students during lunch on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday will encourage students to participate in a phone-free lunch.

Junior High Athletics
Track and Field
Our next major activity is Track and Field. Throughout this month, students will begin working on various track events during P.E. classes, weather permitting.
Our school’s annual Track Day is scheduled for May 12th at Strathcona Athletic Park. Prior to this event, a letter and volunteer form will be sent home. Students will also select their events during class time.
Track Day also serves as an opportunity to identify students who may be interested in joining the Junior High Track Team.
Golf
Junior High Golf is scheduled for June 1st, 2026 at Fort-in-View Golf Course. This is an interest-based sport, meaning there are no tryouts. Students must have their own clubs and be prepared to participate as part of a team.
I have already begun compiling a list of interested students. If your son or daughter would like to participate, please have them come speak with me as soon as possible.
Athletics Awards Night
Our Athletics Awards Night will take place on June 8th, 2026. Parents/guardians of students receiving awards will be contacted by email in advance.
Thank you very much for your continued support of our athletics programs. If you have any questions or need further information, please don’t hesitate to contact me at symonds.botchey@eips.ca.
