Get Involved in the Kindergarten Center PTA
We are excited to welcome your child to the Kindergarten Center for the 2025–2026 school year! As our district prepares to open the new Kindergarten Center for the upcoming school year, the District 41 PTA Council is creating a brand-new committee dedicated to supporting the Kindergarten Center. There will be a number of ways for parents to get involved, and this interest form will help us plan and organize volunteer efforts for a strong start.
This new Kindergarten Center PTA will play a vital role in building a welcoming, engaging, and connected environment for our students and their families. The committee will help shape family involvement, support school events and initiatives, and foster a strong sense of community right from the very first year. It's a great way to meet fellow parents and be part of the community!
The PTA is currently looking for parents and caregivers with children attending the Kindergarten Center in the 2025–26 school year who are interested in getting involved! Whether you have a little or a lot of time to give, there are many ways to contribute.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Serve on the Steering Committee – Help guide the vision, structure, and priorities of the new Kindergarten PTA Committee.
- Room Parents – Support teachers by coordinating classroom events and communication with families.
- Community Outreach Support – Help meet family needs through efforts like providing winter outerwear and other essential resources.
- School Supplies Program – Work with school staff to coordinate prepackaged school supply kits.
- Student Directory: Work with school staff to create a digital directory of Kindergarten Center families, using an app like Directory Spot
- Fundraising: Coordinate a fundraiser, such as a Fun Run, at the start of the school year, working closely with the steering committee and building administration.
Click here to learn more about the opportunities and sign up by May 1st!.
Orders placed by June 28th will be delivered to the Kindergarten Center in August.
Families are always welcome to purchase and bring their own supplies, but School Tool Box is a great resource for those who would like the shopping done for them!
Kindergarten Orientation – Parents Only - Wednesday, May 28 at 6:30 PM
Location: Hadley Jr. High School, 240 Hawthorne Blvd, Glen Ellyn
This district-wide event is for parents only and will provide an opportunity to meet school leaders and other incoming families. We’ll share valuable information about the upcoming school year and give you a chance to ask questions. Please note, this orientation replaces the previously held Kindergarten Round-Up or Open House. It’s a wonderful chance to get familiar with what’s ahead as your child starts their kindergarten journey.
