Boys Tennis has been working hard during the month of April to show improvement on both the JV and the Varsity team! JV has had several wins, including most recently against Brick Memorial at Ocean County Park. Varsity had an impressive win against Toms River East, with the final score being 3-2. The team is looking forward to the second half of scheduled matches, which will be played during the next few weeks in May.

The Spring has been good so far for the Brick Dragons Golf Team. With two weeks left in the season, the Dragons sit at 6-2 in B South and have an overall record of 7-3. The Dragons have qualified for the Central Jersey Group 3 State Sectional Tournament for the second season in a row. The Dragons will be competing with other Group 3 qualifiers at Ron Jaworski's Riverwinds Golf Course in West Deptford, NJ. Senior Maggie Thompson has had a nice senior season representing the Dragons at both the Ocean County Tournament and the Shore Conference Tournament in April. Maggie shot personal bests in both events. Other standout golfers for the Dragons this season have been Alex Jenkowski (12), Logan Donnelly (12), Josh Boyle (11), Aidan Rozell (11), Myles Laughlin (11), Ryan Lehrach (10), Dominic Giovine (10), Brody Acropolis (9), Brayden Acropolis (9) and Marco Pellosie (9). The Dragons are looking to close out the season and be in contention to win the Shore Conference B South Title.

The Dragon Drama Club production of "The SpongeBob Musical" was a rousing success. The auditorium was packed for all three shows. The audience walked away saying it was "The Best Day Ever" Congratulations to the cast and crew.

The Dragon Drama Club students had an amazing opportunity to take a field trip to NYC on May 3rd. First ,they toured the oldest theatre on Broadway, The Hudson. As they walked us through every floor of the theatre, the tour guides from Broadway Up Close explained the history of the theatre going back to the early 1900's". After lunch at the Hard Rock Café they thoroughly enjoyed the matinee performance of "The Lion King"

May is busy for the Key Clubbers. Our new officers will be announced at our May meeting/end of the year pizza party. Congratulations to our returning and new leaders. We continue to work with WWES and Emma Haven's Young. Key Clubbers babysit for PTO meetings. Key Clubbers are making donations to show appreciation for their teachers with a snack cart and collecting items to donate to our fur friends at the Popcorn Zoo. They will be volunteering at the Senior Citizen Prom on 5-5 and at the Emma Spring Fair on 5-20. Some people will be walking to show support for those with disabilities at the Blue Claws Stadium on 5-13. We are also working on posters to show support for our cafeteria staff.

The NJSIAA and the Shore Conference, in conjunction with Brick Township High School is making an effort to promote better behavior at our Athletic Events!!

Not only are we asking our student-athletes to play with pride and display good sportsmanship...we are asking ALL of our fans, including students, parents and adults to behave in an appropriate and respectful manner.

Participating and attending athletic events is a privilege! We want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable time!
