HMS Hiller Heads-Up
All the news from Hopkinton Middle School
Note from the Principal
Hello HMS Families,
Tonight is the first High School Football home game of the Fall season. These home games are large community events and students are very excited to attend. We hope that parents bringing students to the game will remain with their students during the game and provide supervision. In order to create an atmosphere that can be enjoyed by all in attendance, we ask that you talk with your student about demonstrating:
Respect for our fields/facilities - please pick up after yourselves and each other
Respect for our Equipment - please use our equipment the way they should be used (Field hockey nets are not soccer nets, do not climb on goals, fences, containers, netting)
Respect for each other - students and spectators as well as the athletics staff who are supervising these events
Thank you for your cooperation! Go Hillers!
We are seeking a Grade 6 parent to be part of the Hopkinton Middle School Council. School Council terms run for three years or until you are no longer able to fulfill the role. Please email Principal Matt Lefebvre if you are interested by Friday, October 2nd.

Thursday, January 7th from 2:35-3:35

Dismissal Reminders
- At the 2:25pm dismissal, students leave independently to the bus, parent pick-up, or to walk home. If your student's dismissal plan changes from their usual routine, you do not need to notify the school. Please be sure to clarify the plan with your student before they leave for school that morning.
- If you need to dismiss your student early, please fill out the dismissal form. This form can also be found on the Middle School website under contact us. If your student will be dismissed during the school day, please communicate this plan with them in advance. We try to avoid calling into classrooms, as it disrupts learning for other students.
- Please remind your student that they are to come to the main office at their dismissal time. We do not like to call into classrooms and interrupt instruction.
- You need to fill out a dismissal for an end of the day change only if your student is not aware of the change.
