Hoyne Happenings
Hello Pembroke Families!
As November starts, I am always reminded that I have so many things to be grateful for. This year I am grateful for the amazing Pembroke community that I get to be a part of each day. Every day I get to see the kindness, empathy, and inclusivity that our students and staff show.
A huge thank you to all of the parents that planned, volunteered, and donated to make our Halloween Celebrations a huge success! Students and staff had a blast! We started November off with our 2nd PRIDE packs of the year. Each PRIDE pack continued to build their own community by finalizing their PRIDE name and greeting! Ask your child about their PRIDE pack.
This is a reminder that we do not have school tomorrow, Tuesday, November 5th. Additionally, we will have the first all school incentive earned from our Fun Run! I will be serving pizza lunch on Thursday!
Have a great week!
Mrs. Hoyne

INTEREST SURVEY: Junior Kindergarten 2025-2026
What is Junior Kindergarten? It's a free, full-day program that bridges the critical transition between home and school by offering an extra year of learning, emphasizing academic, social, emotional, and physical skill development. BPS wants to ensure students meet the academic standards and benchmarks appropriate to their age while providing meaningful context and real-life applications. Teachers are invested in helping cultivate a student's life-long love of learning through these connections.
The program is an ideal option for families with kindergarten-eligible students, born between June 1-Dec. 1, 2020, seeking to benefit from extra time for their child to grow and mature. Are you considering enrolling for Junior Kindergarten for the 2025-2026 academic year? If so, please ensure you complete the district interest survey no later than 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27.
