Back To School Edition
Pink Elementary - July 2026
The Palominos Press: October 04, 2026
A Note from Ms. Hernandez
Dear Palominos Families, & Supporters!
We are well into the semester, and it’s hard to believe that fall break is just around the corner. Before we know it, we’ll be celebrating Thanksgiving, then Christmas, and closing out the semester! Time is moving quickly, and every day counts as we work together to ensure all students are successful.
As we move deeper into the semester, I want to remind families about the importance of attendance. Our campus attendance has declined each week for the past three weeks, and we need your partnership to bring it back up toward our goal of 95%. Each minute in class matters, and when students miss instructional time, they miss opportunities to build important skills and strengthen their learning. Please help your child arrive on time each day and remain at school for the full instructional day whenever possible.
Be on the lookout for communication from the campus regarding attendance, and check Skyward regularly to monitor your child’s attendance and grades. Staying connected and communicating with teachers or administrators helps us work together to keep your child on track.
I also want to take a moment to talk about communication. If you have a concern or a question, please reach out to us directly. We’re happy to answer questions, provide clarification, and work with you toward solutions. Open communication helps strengthen our partnership and ensures we can best support your child.
Our children are watching how we handle situations, and together, we have an opportunity to model respectful, solution-focused communication. That same spirit of partnership extends to the many ways you can get involved at Pink. We welcome you to volunteer on campus, participate in family events, or share your time and talents to help our Palominos shine.
Please reach out to your child’s teacher, our counselor, the front office, or the Admin Team whenever you need assistance. Direct communication is one of the most effective ways to get answers and strengthen our partnership. Every phone number you might need is listed below in this newsletter for your convenience.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support. Together, let’s make it another great week as we Expect Excellence and Achieve Greatness!
With Palomino Pride,
M. Hernandez
Expect Excellence. Achieve Greatness.

Every Day Counts: 2nd Grade Takes the Top Spot
🎉 Congratulations to 2nd Grade for being attendance H.E.R.O.s and earning the highest attendance of all grade levels this week! Our campus attendance remained below our 95% goal for the third consecutive week, so it is time to turn the trend around. Let’s continue encouraging our Palominos to be present and ready to learn each day so we can bring our attendance back above 95% next week!
