Hello Harvesters’ Families,
It’s difficult to believe that it is almost May. Last week was a busy week at DeLay Middle School. We had two days of STAAR testing and two field trips, plus some amazing things happening in our classrooms. All and all, it was a great week at DeLay Middle School!
The teachers are available to answer any questions you may have about your child’s academic progress and/or their behavior. Please email or call them and check your child’s grades online often to make sure they are not failing any classes because before you know it, it will be the last day of school. We are a community of Harvesters and desire for all students to be successful.
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about joining and supporting the DeLay PTA and who are eager to redefine and reimagine the impact PTA has on our learning community. Your involvement is vital to the continued success of our school. If you are interested, please contact the school for additional information. We need and want all parents to be involved.
Teacher’s Appreciation Week is the week of May 6-10, 2024. We have a wonderful opportunity to show our gratitude to the dedicated educators at DeLay Middle School. These individuals work tirelessly to educate, inspire, and support our children every day, and it’s a perfect time to celebrate their hard work and commitment. We have 98 wonderful teachers at DeLay Middle School and any type of contribution would be greatly appreciated.You may contact Ms. Sanmiguel via email at, sanmiguelk@lisd.net. You'll be joining us in expressing our heartfelt thanks to the educators who make a difference in our children's lives. Hola Familias de Vendimiadores, Es difícil creer que es casi mayo. La semana pasada fue una semana muy ocupada en DeLay Middle School. STAAR testing continues this week for all students. Tuesday, April 30th is the Math STAAR and Algebra EOC. Please make sure your students are aware of testing days and have their iPads updated and charged and ready for testing. Please see below for a few weekly scheduling updates.

DeLay Middle School Parents & Students, we need your help! We are collecting notes, thoughts, memories, and moments for teacher and staff appreciation week. Please leave a note of kindness for one/some/all of your teachers. Don't forget the SPED teachers, health room, student services, custodians, and all the wonderful people at DeLay!
