Youth LEAD
Leadership Evangelization And Discipleship
Dear Friend in Faith,
What happens when young people recognize that they have an important role to play in the life of the Church?
This November, the Diocese of Rochester’s Office of Evangelization & Catechesis will once again offer Youth LEAD (Leadership, Evangelization And Discipleship)—a weekend leadership retreat designed to help high school youth discover and develop their gifts as Catholic leaders.
Youth LEAD gives young people practical leadership skills while helping them develop a deeper understanding of what it means to live as disciples of Jesus Christ. Throughout the weekend of workshops, discussions, prayer, and reflection, participants will be encouraged to recognize that leadership in the Church isn't simply about having a title or being "in charge." It is about responding to Christ's call to serve, evangelize, and become the Body of Christ in the world. The retreat will provide a supportive environment for retreatants to forge meaningful connections with other Catholic young people who share their passion for service and faith.
We invite you to identify young people around you who might benefit from this experience—especially teens who show leadership potential, are active in their parish or youth ministry, or simply have a desire to grow in their faith and make a difference.
We know the registration fee may be a financial hardship for families. We do not want finances to be a deterrent for young people participating in this opportunity. Financial assistance is available. More details about registration and the weekend experience can be found below. We look forward to welcoming the next generation of Catholic leaders to Youth LEAD!
