LMHS Updates

We would like to wish all of our families a Happy Thanksgiving! We hope you are able to enjoy the break. The LMHS main office will be closed Wednesday, November 26 through Friday, November 28.

"I do therefore invite my fellow citizens in every part of the United States, and also those who are at sea and those who are sojourning in foreign lands, to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next, as a day of Thanksgiving..." - President Lincoln, 1863

Even though it will be during Thanksgiving break, November interim grade reports will still be issued on Friday, November 28. They will be emailed to all parents/guardians and students. Just a reminder that this interim grade report will determine initial academic eligibility for winter sports and co-curricular activities, including bowling.

Just a note that the end of the semester will come quicker than you may think! After Thanksgiving, there's three weeks until holiday break, and then when we return in January there will only be two weeks left in the semester, which ends on Friday, January 16.

Last year, the state's voters passed Question 2, which eliminated MCAS as a high school graduation requirement. The question did not, however, eliminate what the state calls the "competency determination" -- the state requirements for students to earn a diploma. Over the summer, the state issued guidance requiring each school district to adopt a policy indicating how the district would have students meet the competency determination in English, math, science and US History. Last week, the Lee School Committee accepted our policy, which can be found on the LMHS web site. It can also be found in the attachment below.

Dear Parents and Guardians of Seniors,

Thanksgiving break is a wonderful time for families to gather old photos, share memories, and begin creating a Senior Recognition (Baby) Ad for the 2026 Lee Middle and High School Echo. Recognition ads are a special way to celebrate your senior, and space is limited. Ads will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, and once our ad section is full, we cannot accept additional submissions.

Available Ad Sizes and Prices:

Half Page – $125

Quarter Page – $75

Eighth Page – $50

To reserve your space, please send your photos, written message, and any template requests to yearbook@leepublicschools.net. Ads will not be placed until payment is received. Payments (cash or check to LMHS Yearbook) may be sent in with your student or mailed to:

300 Greylock Street
Lee, MA 01238

We encourage families to begin gathering materials over the break. Thank you for supporting the yearbook and helping us create lasting memories for the Class of 2026.

Warm regards,
Ginger Armstrong
Yearbook Adviser
