Students in grades 4-12 will have the opportunity to take the 5Essentials Survey. This survey gives us feedback in five areas:
Effective Leaders
Collaborative Teachers
Involved Families
Supportive Environments
Ambitious Instruction
In addition to the student survey, there is also a parent survey. The parent survey window is available now. To take the survey, visit survey.5-essentials.org/Illinois and select the parent survey. If we have 20% or more parents complete the survey, we receive a supplemental report regarding the feedback from the survey.
Please see this letter from the assessment office for more information on the 5Essentials survey. If you do not want your 4th or 5th grader to participate in the survey, please reach out directly to Kristy McKnight at kristina.mcknight@d303.org.
It's that time of year where we ask for input on your child's learning environment for next year. Please see this letter, which outlines our procedures for providing this feedback. Please note that requests for specific teachers are not accepted. Feedback needs to be received by Friday, March 27th to be considered.
Please see this letter from our Assessment department regarding upcoming IAR testing for our 3rd-5th grade students. Our online testing will take place during the mornings of March 17th and 18th, and April 7th, 8th, and 9th.
Thank you to all of the Ferson Creek families and friends who came out to support McTeacher night last night. It was so fun to come together and we had a great turnout! Thank you so much for stopping by and for your generous support. Together we raised $2700! McDonald's said we broke the record for the most sales in one hour in any McDonalds restaurant ever!
There have been an increase in the number of students bringing fidget like items to school. While some students have these accessible through individual plans, they serve as a distraction to many students. Please help us keep learning as the focus in the classroom by limiting the fidgets/toys that are coming to school with your children.

- Messages can be left 24 hours a day.
- Please leave your name, your child's name, your phone number, reason for absence and your child's symptoms if ill.
- If you have alerted your students teacher of the absence by email, please copy in cheryl.wiley@d303.org as well to avoid an attendance verification daily call.
