TREC Updates
During the first week of January, all TREC members will be updated to Destiny 19.6. We will highlight the updates and enhancements during the January TREC Talks, so make plans to join us.
A summary of planned updates included in this release are:
Library Manager
- Sublocation added to the Shelf List Report – if a sublocation is listed on the copy record in Destiny, it will show on the Shelf List Report. This will assist libraries that have organized their collections by genre.
- MackinVIA eBook and Audiobook Records – easier management of MackinVIA eBooks and audiobooks within Destiny
Resource Manager
- Item Transaction Data Report – New report allows for reporting on specific transactions within data ranges (this new report is like the Copy Transaction report in Library Manager).
- MDM Updates – Destiny transfers will show in Google Workspace; items marked lost or stolen in Destiny will be updated in Jamf Pro.
Staying up to date on new features and enhancements is as easy as clicking on MORE at the top of the Destiny Discover page, then clicking on HELP. When you select WHAT'S NEW, you can then choose the platform you are interested in.
Destiny Discover Engage
We will be offering a demonstration of Destiny Discover Engage during one of our upcoming TREC Talks webinars. This is an additional component that can be added to your TREC membership.
"Follett Destiny Discover® Engage is an add-on subscription to Follett Destiny® Library Manager. It takes you beyond traditional reading lists to robust reading programs and challenges, smart recommendations, badges, and reporting capabilities."
Destiny Discover Engage makes it easy, fun, and rewarding for students to develop good reading habits. (Follett website)
If this is something your campus/district is interested in adding, please reach out to Shawna Ford, sford@esc11.net.
