Cultural Performance
Thanks to the support of the EHEPTO and Memorial Schoolโs Positive School Climate Committee, we enjoyed a fantastic cultural event Monday morning. Our students were treated to a performance called: Surcari โ Music With A Latin Beat. A trio of musicians provided an interactive and educational show that highlighted music and traditional instruments from Spanish speaking countries around the world. Throughout the show, as each song was introduced, the leader of the group highlighted the country of origin on two large maps; and after being taught how to use each instrument, students were invited to perform along with the musicians. It was interactive, informative, and highly engaging!
Cheetah Council
Congratulations to the 2025-26 Cheetah Council. We are looking forward to seeing all of the positive ways that you contribute to our school community!

A Visit From MacGyver
Everyone loves our visits with MacGyver! This week, he happily lounged on an oversized cushion while our learners spent time with him in the Cheetah Den.
An Update On Samantha
Our adopted calf is growing fast! She grew one inch, and now weighs 103 pounds! Hereโs a little bit about the farmer who is raising Samanthaโฆ.
PAWSitive Office Referrals
A PAWsitive office referral is submitted when a staff member recognizes a student who is going above and beyond to exemplify one of our three school rules - taking care of others, taking care of self, & taking care of things.
Order Of The Cheetah
Congratulations to Mrs. Barbara Kowalczyk, our building substitute! Mrs. K is amazing, works hard and always goes to the gym during dismissal to help!

Coaches Corner
Math
Number Corner is an essential component of our math program, Bridges in Mathematics. It is a skill-building program that revolves around the classroom calendar, providing daily practice as well as continual encounters with broader mathematical concepts. Number Corner is 15-20 minutes of engaging instruction. The program features short daily workouts that introduce, reinforce, and extend skills and concepts related to critical areas of study at each grade level. These workouts include: calendar grid, calendar collector, computational fluency, number line, days in school (K/1), daily rectangle (2) and solving problems (3). Throughout the month during our Number Corner block, students have the opportunity to play games or activities, use manipulatives and are introduced to math vocabulary.
Each month of Number Corner, there is a new pattern introduced in the calendar. We have included an image of your childโs Number Corner calendar from last month. Have a discussion with your child about the patterns that were incorporated during the month of October, along with the other components of Number Corner.
On The Math Learning Center website, you can explore as a parent to find out what key skills and concepts are practiced during Number Corner throughout the year through the concept outline. When checking out the website, be sure to click on the appropriate grade level on the left hand side of the screen.
