Panther Pride was high this week as students got hyped for Homecoming! From boys' volleyball on Monday, to co-ed soccer on Wednesday, to spirit days every day, there's no shortage of ways for students to get involved and show their school spirit.
The City of Wenatchee was also out Wednesday morning painting panther paws on the road leading to the Apple Bowl! Thanks for helping us show some extra school spirit ahead of the HOCO game this Friday VS Sunnyside.
The Homecoming football game will be TONIGHT 10/24 at 7 PM in the Apple Bowl. Get your tickets on GoFan and come out to support our football team, celebrate seniors for football, dance, and cheer, and see the crowning of senior Homecoming royalty! GO PANTHERS!
🏆 Wenatchee Athletics
Jelsing Hits 500 Career Assists in Volleyball
Join us in congratulating Varsity volleyball Junior Jurney Jelsing on 500 career assists with the WHS volleyball program!
The team celebrated after their match versus Ike on Thursday night, where Jurney racked up another 25 assists. Panther volleyball swept the Eisenhower match in 3! During Thursdays match, Claire Demirjian also had 14 kills, Breven Luinstra had 10 kills, and Sienna Knell finished with seven aces.
Thank You, Athletics Officials!
This week, WHS fall sports programs have been taking time to thank the hard-working officials for their continued support for high school athletics. Panther JV football teamed up with Davis at their past game to recognize football officials across the Big 9 league while the girls in slowpitch softball and soccer recognized their officials during their games this week.
We love seeing this sportsmanship! This is a Big 9 League-wide initiative happening this week, with officials receiving thank you cards and a small token of appreciation.
