Washington Families,

Start your engines, August has arrived! This year, our theme is ""Champions are made at the finish line". Together, we will accelerate learning, build meaningful relationships, and celebrate every milestone as we work toward a successful school year. Whether you're joining us for the first time or returning for another lap, we're thrilled to have you join us at Washington Elementary.

Each month, we will share our building newsletter, The Washington Wire, to keep you informed about important school news, upcoming events, attendance reminders, days off from school, and fun community activities sponsored by our PTO. Please take a moment to review the important dates and information below. If you have any questions about enrollment or the start of the school year, don't hesitate to contact our office. We are happy to help! We can't wait to see everyone at our Back to School Open House as we wave the green flag on an incredible school year.

• Tuesday, August 11th Back to School Open House (Anytime from 6:00-7:30pm)
• Tuesday, August 13th First Day of School (Half Day 8:55-11:30)
• Wednesday, August 19th Kindergarten Parent Night (5:30-6:30pm)
• Wednesday, August 19th PTO Meeting (6:30pm following K Parent Night)

If you need assistance with school supplies and/or a backpack to start the school year, please go directly to the gym at Back to School Night. We will have items there for pick-up.

Be sure to stop by the PTO table during Back to School Night! This is a wonderful opportunity to meet our PTO members, learn more about upcoming events, and discover ways you can be involved in supporting our Washington students and families. Whether you can volunteer your time, share your ideas, or simply attend meetings, every contribution makes a difference!

Our first PTO meeting will be Wednesday, August 19th at 6:30 p.m., immediately following the Kindergarten Parent Meeting. We would love to see you there as we begin another exciting year together!

After you drop off your kindergartener in the gym, please join us in the library for a Boo-Hoo Breakfast on the first day of school! We'll enjoy a light breakfast and offer a chance to connect as you celebrate this special milestone.

It will be short and sweet—we look forward to seeing you there!
