Essential Learning Materials and Personal Belonging Pick Up for Hunter Students
At Hunter Elementary, we have arranged a simple way for you to pick-up your student(s) personal belongings and essentail learning items. We are excited to get these out to you because it will include their math journals, which are a great resource for Remote Learning.
Dates for Pick-Up by Grade Level:
Monday May 18th, grades 3-5 can pick up their items between the hours of 10:00am-11:30am in the Hunter parking lot.
Wednesday May 20th, Young 5's, K-2nd grade can pick up their personal items between the hours of 10:00-11:30am.
While the Stay at Home order continues, educators supporting public and private K-12 schools for the purposes of facilitating distance learning or performing other essential functions, are considered essential workforce. Under these guidelines, we are able to organize this essential learning materials and personal items pick-up process. We will alert Brownstown Police that we are running this pick-up process on both dates, so they know to expect more people at the school that morning.
During the pick-up process, we want to make sure that you and our staff are utilizing safe procedures in accordance with CDC and public health guidelines. In order to make sure that we are practicing social distancing and minimizing the risk of illness transmission, we are implementing the following process:
1.Ahead of time prepare a sheet of paper and write in BIG print:
-Name of your child/children
-Teacher name (s)
2. When you pull into the main entrance at Hunter, you will be directed by Mrs. Mullins to your student(s) grade level table. Please display the name and teacher name name sign upon entering the parking lot. This is important and will speed up our process overall.
3. You will be directed to a table with your student(s) grade level. The staff member will be standing 6 feet from the car and will record the name(s) of your child/children. If you have multiple children you will stop at more than one table.
4: All materials are in plastic bags. You will pull up to the table just like going through a fast-food drive thru. You should roll down your window, take the bag and proceed on your way. PLEASE DO NOT EXIT YOUR VEHICLE.
NOTE: As a precaution, all Hunter Staff members will be wearing masks and gloves to ensure that materials are distributed in a safe way. We will still be able to give big waves and smile from behind our masks!
We will only be able to hand out the materials to the grade levels listed on those dates. The reason for this is to limit the number of staff we need to make this run smoothly and effectively.
May 18th: 3-5 grades from 10:00-11:30am
May 20th: Y5/K-2 10:00-11:30
If you have any questions you can contact Mrs. Mullins your or student(s) classroom teacher.
At this time we do not have a delivery date for yearbooks. Three of their six printing loations are down. When we get a delivery date we will communicate that out to all families.
