Congratulations
Congratulations to our TOMS Staff Member of the Week Mrs. Jenny Scarbro! She was nominated by Mr. Malcom Brown.
.
Mrs. Scarbro is Cafeteria Operator at TOMS and this is her third year with us!
My favorite memory of middle school was making so many new friends!
My advice to my Middle School self would be... study more, don't be in such a hurry to grow up. Don't be shy and enjoy every minute because it tis over before you realize it!
On Tuesday we kicked off the first of our three TOMS Fine Arts Spring Concerts with a stunning choral performance led by Ms. Rachel Rollins.
It’s easy to see why our choral department continues to earn accolades at competitions—tonight’s performance was nothing short of beautiful.
Thank you to all the families, staff, and students who came out to support our talented performers. Your presence means so much to our program!
On Tuesday our instructional coach Stephanie Walters and staff members made sure to let our TOMS students know that we were proud of them -- and that they were ready for testing!
We started the day with video cameos from local community leaders! Today the cameos were from Principal Devorick at CFE and CCU baseball head coach Kevin Schnall!! We appreciate the support they gave our Silver Foxes!!
Our 6th Grade Science Team was incredibly impressed with their students during Thursday's SC Ready Science testing!
They believe in their students and are confident the results will reflect all the hard work and preparation. Great job, scholars — we are so proud of you!
This week three of our TOMS students, Giana, Ellie and Olivia were honored at the HCS Soil & Water Ceremony at WPMS. They were recognized alongside their dedicated ELA and Science teachers, Mrs. Wims and Mr. Douglas. Congratulations to these outstanding students and educators for their achievement!
Congratulations to Coach Sandy Deaton and all of the Silver Foxes!
Ten Oaks Middle School proudly raised a total of $6,525.00 this year for the American Heart Association Kids Challenge!
We're also thrilled to share that 57% of our student body registered and learned hands-on CPR — an incredible step toward empowering our students with life-saving skills.
As a result of their efforts, the TOMS PE Department received a $300.00 grant for new PE equipment!
Way to go, Silver Foxes! #TOMSPride #SilverFoxStrong #CPRSavesLives
Congratulations to Mr. Chad Hammer and the TOMS Orchestra Program!! We earned the SCMEA Outstanding Performance Award again for the 2024-25 School Year!
This past weekend, our Fine Arts Departments, staff, and chaperones headed to Orlando!
Led by our fearless leaders—Mr. Hammer, Mr. Pope, and Ms. Rollins—along with parent chaperones and our Principal, Mrs. Lennon, the group spent three days traveling to and from Orlando, Florida, with our amazing students.
The trip was filled with laughter, hard work, and unforgettable memories. This marks the third time TOMS has sent our Orchestra, Choir, and Band to perform together in competition—and once again, we couldn’t be prouder!
We’re thrilled to share that our Fine Arts Program returned home today with three first-place trophies! Band: Earned 1st Place and received a Superior Rating! Orchestra & Chorus (combined): Secured 1st Place with an Excellent Rating! Bravo!
While trophies are wonderful, it's the experience and the growth that happens on trips like this that truly counts. We are incredibly proud of our students and the way they represented TOMS with excellence, dedication, and heart.
Congratulations to our entire Fine Arts Department!
Members of Student Council represented TOMS at the 10th Annual Youth Leadership Day at Carowinds!
They learned about the domains, voices, and tools of leadership and showcased their skills in a final presentation!
They were also the first place winners of the Leadership/Carowinds Trivia contest (out of 20 schools) and earned fast passes for a fun afternoon of rides! Success-Nothing Less!
Don't miss out on seeing the Carolina Forest High School Show Choirs Season Finale this weekend! Tickets are still available!

PLEASE VOTE starting Sunday, May 12th!!!
We’re excited to let you know that one of our outstanding teachers, Mrs. Taylor Wims, has been selected as a finalist in the First Annual Fun Warehouse Golden Rule Project!
This initiative was created to recognize teachers who exemplify the Golden Rule — going above and beyond for their students, often using their own resources to make a lasting impact. These teachers lead with kindness, dedication, and service both in and out of the classroom.
Out of a wonderful batch of heartfelt nominations submitted by students, parents, and members of the community, Mrs. Wims was chosen as one of five finalists. That’s an incredible honor, and we hope you'll join us in celebrating this recognition!
